PvE: enjoyable. Champions: not so much but okay, Cope I guess.
PvP: about as balanced as a fat kid on a seesaw. if you want to go flawless in Trials just run a smooth brain ape build hold W and let your god roll adept weapons carry you to the finish line in your palanquin box because with the right build you can have a collective IQ of a mango and still top frag

To be honest, gameplay is kinda fun, I was expecting it to be hot garbage but it surprised me. although, I am utterly confused as to why anyone would think it's a good idea to port a mobile game to Steam and make it cross platform with mobile.. bad idea.. but hey, if you enjoy completely pubstomping mobile kids, or you need an ego/morale boost due to getting annihilated in other games, then this game has you covered

Love the game, as a gun nut and someone that likes to admire the design and mechanisms of firearms this game hits all the right buttons, very enjoyable for me. I love when a new gun is added because I'll immediately launch the game before watching the devlog to figure out the operation myself, I found quite a bit of enjoyment once the flintlock pistol was added because I've never payed much attention to how they're loaded in real life but after a few minutes of messing around I finally managed to not have it explode with every shot.

now, after reading some negative reviews on the game I've realized there a few things to keep in mind before you buy the game if you're looking at it.

1.) This game will NEVER have multiplayer, Anton has said several times in several different places, it's nowhere near feasible and won't happen.

2.) if this game doesn't have "the gun you want" Anton doesn't model the guns he uses, he is donated most of the models if not all of them even, there are over 200 guns right now and I wouldn't be surprised if there are almost 300 now, if you REALLY want a gun that bad, you can kindly model it and send it in.

3.) No, there isn't workshop and probably never will just because of how messy the code of the game is according to Anton himself. Yes there IS mods, but they are not fully supported and keep in mind they can 100% break your game and they are not simple to install.

4.) there are MANY different movement options, teleportation is not the only way. you are not restricted to physical turning either, check the palm of your hand for the options menu.

5.) if you don't find just general enjoyment in firearms be aware that this game MAY not be for you, if you ever get bored of the various game modes that Anton has added there won't be much more content besides the shooting ranges (which I spend about half my time in somehow)

6.) if you struggle to understand how a gun works or is operated, a quick google search of the firearm should lead to a few videos (not specific to H3VR) that will more often than not teach or show you the basic function of the firearm which will more often than not (and if not is fixed later) be depicted accurately in game.

In short, don't play the game for 12 minutes get confused then quit. if you can't figure the gun out you're thinking it's far too complex than it actually is, if you still struggle, look it up on google, it's a free tool. This game also isn't for everyone, so probably don't buy it being someone who's not interested in guns or cares to shoot them in real life expecting to enjoy the game then give a lousy excuse with a negative review, you knew what you were buying, and that's not constructive. and "add multiplayer" is not a realistic piece of constructive criticism

I'd personally recommend this for if you have a SteamVR HMD not so much if you have Oculus as this basically adds what Oculus dash already has.

On that note, once you set it up the way you want it, for me that's just my 2 monitors and the keyboard, it works wonders! I can actually press backspace in other programs and it works, it provides access to function keys in game, you have numpad use as well and it has media keys if you need them. the display functionality works great if you need to right click anything, but if you won't need to right click anything than the window captures work amazing as well. It's very nice to see your battery percentages as well at a quick glance rather than needing to press the home button and pause whatever game you're playing. in seeing the percentage as well it lets you get an idea of how much longer your controllers will last.

All in all, I have so far no complaints about the software, if anything the price... but I can't complain about that since it was gifted to me.

After my first hour or so of playing the game, I HIGHLY enjoyed it! It's super fun, a great workout as well, don't forget to stretch though as it is with any workout!. I currently have 136 hours in the game at the time of this review, and I've been playing 4 days a week since buying the game. I absolutely love the devs and the community, the devs listen to our wants and work with the community well. On the twitch side of the community as well, there are few enough toxic people to count on your fingers and have some left over. Everyone I've met through beat saber is great!

-HTC Vive-
Please, please, PLEASE, look into using a different grip if you're on HTC Vive. The default way to hold your controller is actually harmful to your wrists.

-Oculus-
I recommend looking into the many ways to secure the batteries in your controllers to allow tracking to stay accurate if you move your arms fast, as the batteries apply force to the spring due to the spring's location, the circuit gets disconnected and tracking stops. There are many ways you can find online, I recommend the method using the grippy pad that is usually place under cutting boards and putting a ribbon underneath the battery to allow for easier replacement and to prevent the battery from moving.

More on the workout part...
Check out https://wiki.assistant.moe/ for all beat saber related help. To stress it once more, (VIVE USERS!) look at the "grips and tricks" tab and use any of the other grips so your wrists aren't being put through as much strain (V-Grip not highly recommended for that)
Also under "Health and Safety" watch the Dr. Levi video AT LEAST and read the rest as it goes on about weighted gear before on that page, and remember to WARM UP!

By far, this game has been one of my favorite games since I got my Vive

After some updates, this game is pretty heckin fun actually. Simple, but it's basically what you'd expect from a VR CSGO, but you actually have attachments. It's essentially COD and CSGO into one game. hours of fun if you like that type of stuff, the mods are great too, if you have a big enough party you can enjoy some of the gamemodes you would enjoy from Garry's Mod such as TTT or Prop Hunt, as well as Zombies from L4D or COD, and yes there's also the new official zombies mode too (though I have yet to try it)
