NOT COLORBLIND FRIENDLY

I wanted to play the game with a friend on stream, but for 90% of the game I needed chat to tell the other person what colors I was looking at. At some point we just decided it wasn't worth it. For another puzzle you need knowledge of chess pieces in communication, because of time sensitivity.

Updated Review:
It's just amazing, very similar to all other sudoku apps by Goya. It's different from the webapp Cracking the Cryptic uses, but personally I prefer how this works.

Initial review after 30 minutes:
I've just played a single sudoku and I really like that each puzzle now has a name and the author of the puzzle is also listed. Just like the other sudoku games by Goya this is a great sudoku game for people who just started with sudokus as well as the more experienced sudoku solvers.

It's a great game. Fun to play together as well as solo, levelling will go slower when playing together (only one temtem in your team at a time).

The only negative point I have right now is that it's still early access and once you have finished the existing story line you have to wait quite a bit for new islands to be released.

Graphics ain't great but I still think that when you have a Vive it will be a lot of fun. The game is listed as Index supported and it clearly doesn't support it besides having the weapons angled correctly.

The support for the index controller is really bad, To reload you have to let go of the grip and then press the B button. For dropping the weapon you have to hold the grip button and press B. This results into dropping the weapon when reloading and not dropping the weapon when you want to drop the weapon.

The collisions are really bad and I regularly fell through platforms into a crowd of zombies.

This game was quite fun, but does not have any reason to get kernel access, The anti-cheat is a reason why I requested a refund on this game. I really hate cheaters, but I even hate kernel access even more.

UPDATED REVIEW (old one below):

It's a fun game to play and would love to see it be released on Nintendo Switch as well. The only point of improvement I had previously has been fixed in a previous update.

I always thought Sudokus were boring, but these handcrafted and carefully picked ones show the beauty of sudoku.

OLD REVIEW:

I really like to do these sudoku's and it's quite cheap for the amount of sudokus you get. The only thing I want to be a bit clearer is how the star system works. Does it relate to time? or also other things? or is it something else completely?

Early Access Review
I've just played another half an hour and I've to say they fixed all the complaints I had before. I really had a fun 30 minutes before I had to stop to do other things. I can really recommend it.

Original review:
It's a fun game with quite a potential, but it does have some gamebreaking bugs still. I've had quite a few times that after I've climbed up on a ridge my body is half in the floor, and my camera is where normally my feet should be. When this happens you cannot move anymore and you can only drag yourself forwards. Every run I've done in the 20 minutes I encountered this issue pretty quickly.

I'm sure the developer will fix this and when that is the case I will update my review. I don't recommend the game in it's current state, but I do see potential and do want to support the developer, that is the reason I will not refund the game even though I will not play it again until after it's been fixed..

It's a great documentary about how Horizon almost didn't make it and evolved. I can really recommend it AFTER playing the game.

In the store it's marketed as "room scale" but when ingame it shows it's a seated experience. This means that moving your head moves the playspace instead of your head. This is all filmed with a 360 camera and thus you are completely stationary. The tiniest headshake can make me nauseous, I've had VR legs for over 5 years now and can stand playing smooth locomation with framedrops. This was unbearable for me.

This is why I refunded the game after 10 minutes of playing.

First of, I want to say this is a review about the state of the game after the update of 23rd of December 2019. This was an unexpected update 2 years after the release of the game.

===

Before the update the game was wonky in a lot of ways. It was fun but definitely not worth 15 bucks. After the update a lot of the wonkyness has been polished and I now really enjoy the game a lot. You do see it's a VR title created at the dawn of VR and also a refreshed version of the 8 year old L.A. Noire.

Is the game fun? Heck yeah!!
Is it worth 30 bucks? No, definitely not.
Is it worth 15 bucks? It really depends. The replayability of this game is really low, and the cases are the same as from the original game. But I do really enjoy it. Seeing that R* has updated this I personally think we should award them for the aftercare.

Make your own conclusions with this information.
