I am personally a huge fan of Dead Space games, and I have 100%'d all of them on my PlayStation, so I might be a little biased, but I really love this game. Sure it does have some stutters BUT ONLY at the first like 10-15 minutes of the game. After that they are relatively rare, at least for me, and not an issue. And as far as the game itself goes, I like to hate myself and play everything on the hardest difficulty. And haven't holding my controller for a while damn this game is hard, hard but fun to learn and master. Sure I died in the operating room like 30 times, but it was a trial by fire that I enjoyed. I know how much passion was put into this game and I am sure in the future people won't experience these kind of problems. (Although again, for me they were hardly of any issue).
The design and attention to detail is insanely good. The only one criticism I do have is that the checkpoint locations are occasionally really odd/annoying. For example you would have a checkpoint right before a long damn tunnel you have to cross and then there is a room full of enemies. And if you die you have to crawl through all these animations again. So if you are playing on high difficulty that might get annoying at first. Story is pretty interesting and keeps the game going. As of this review I only have 6 hours so I can't give a full story review, but I will update as I continue through the game.
And for everyone who quits and refunds because of stuttering: There is literally a benchmark in the game, tweak the setting and try it. I ran it like 5 times until I was satisfied and I am not sure how it compares to actual gameplay but like I said once you play around 15 minutes in, stutters fade away.
I do wish one thing though, and that is if there were more achievements in this game. Something like in the Dead Space trilogy, I love replayability in these kinds of games and a whole lot of achievements is always encouraging. I was a tad disappointed to see such a low number of achievements.
And I did preordered the digital deluxe edition of the game, if that is somehow relevant to the review

I remember buying this game when it just came out, it was a really good game, me and my friends played it for hours on end at that time.

Now...

Well now we talk about it for the meme, I even bought this game for my friend to play with us for the meme because I saw an update roll out recently.

We will continue playing, not because some updates started to finally roll out 3 years later, but mostly for the meme

EDIT: NEVER MIND after playing it for more than an hour, I want to commit die, unplayable piece of junk, WHY IS MY INTERFACE SO SMALL I AM NOT PLAYING A MOBILE GAME, you have to scroll through all the items in the crafting stations when you have like 80% of the screen remaining. What the actual ♥♥♥♥ was the point of redesigning the UI and some of the texture (ex: the forge) for them to look much much worse.

It almost seems like they downgraded about 5 version back and then ♥♥♥♥♥♥ on something, but didn't have back up. I am actually salty right now.

EDIT 2: NEVER MIND THEY REDID A LOT OF STUFF THIS GAME ACTUALLY HAVE GOOD POTENTIAL NOW, me and my friend enjoy it a lot more now and there is a lot of new stuff to see. So far we like where this is going

EDIT 3: Damn, they abandoned the game. Feelssadman.jpg it was a pretty promising game until they started changing systems for no reason at all and then stopped caring or whatever happened. Oh well I won't change the thumbs up just because I bought this game early and had a decent chunk of fun with friends in it. It will always hold wacky good memories for me.

But for everyone who got this game recently before it went off of steam, yeah thats a yikes moment

The music in this game just doesn't let you off the hook until every single demon skull is crushed. 10/10

I haven't had this much fun in a game in a while!
The gameplay ranges greatly and for people who think this is only sneak game, don't worry. Some missions are actually designed to be sort of like tower defense where you just defend against hordes while other player is performing some task. Other missions require you to be completely sneaky. The game dialogue and atmosphere are amazing and I don't think I will ever be bored of this type of game. The community is very nice if you don't have people to play with. GTFO official discord has amazing people that are willing to play with you. Highly recommend, I bought this game the moment it came out. I think considering that only 9 people made this and it turned out the way it did, the price is completely fair. Don't worry you definitely get way more than you pay for.
