Undertale is quite simply the only game I will never want to play again with an upvoting thumbs up.

Go figure out that one for yourself.

Ahh, FTL.

FTL Games are short. They usually don't end up good either. They usually don't end up good for at least 20 runs, and then you'll eventually end up on a run that's actually pretty possible, until you get stumped by a massive roadblock in the form of the final level.

Then you try again.

The game plays like this: You choose a ship (if only starting, you only have the well-balanced and ugly-looking piece of museum trash-heap Kestrel), you position your crew around stations, you are given choices on the menu, you choose one, you gain something or lose something, or fight something. Then you travel to the next beacon, repeating the process again. It may sound boring, but rest assured, the mechanics are solid. Fights are done via top-down scans between ships, in which you select a ship segment, fire away, and if there happens to be a system in the segment, damage and/or disable it. The enemy dies, of course, on the last HP remaining, though there are a few ways to end fights without breaking the ship, for a chance to get intact items and more scrap.

Then you use those scrap to upgrade your ship, and whiz past sectors.

In FTL, it's not about resisting your targets till it dies. It's about running away unless you're sure you can take on it.

It's evil, and I like it this way.
