Make no mistake this maybe the most misleading title currently on Steam. This is not version 2.0, this is not version 1.0 this is more like version EA .2. There are no NPCs, there is no inventory, the basic equipment does not work as expected, simple QoL is absent, etc. Here is my 5 hr experience:

1. Took me a while to find the shovel since it was sitting beside a sign where it blended in like camouflage.
2. The shovel animation looks like a stab, it barely moves
3. Once I started digging, the bucket would never sit up, luckily upside down it will still work.
4. Getting Water I basically had to look straight down and crouch. Luckily, i could drop it on the shore, have it roll into the water and that worked well.
5. I goto town to buy new equipment. I put gold coins in barrels clearly labeled for cash, but nothing happens. i put gold nuggets into buckets (as they are labeled for storage of certain items) and place into barrels, nothing happens. Finally caved to "How to " video.
6. As you have no inventory, the money you receive is not in single pieces, but what I would describe as a welded together coins.
7. I buy the upgraded equipment and the one piece I really wanted the sorter does not work. They released a patch but there is confusion is it just not working or does it require other items to work. Still doesnt work for me the way it should.
8. Did i mention when you are digging and the dirt going into a pile, it builds what i would call sculptures instead of a pile?
9. Did i mention you cant load a game or simply exit, you ALWAYS have to save.
10. The game runs great but it uses basically 2 cross hairs(one is the shadow) and maybe its the resolution(3440x1440) but it was very annoying to get the shadow lined up to drop items at the right place.
11. Lastly, i went to the store to buy another upgrade, which cost all my remaining gold and when i placed it on the ground it shot up in the air and all i heard was a splash. No idea where it landed.

I really was excited for this update as I have been following the dev for a long time and this is the gameplay I wanted to explore at this time, but wow, been a long time since I have been this disappointed. There is a strong community and very nice developer here, but no way could I recommend at this time. I guess I will wait for version 3.0.
