Only like 4 hours in, but yea ... its hard to ignore the rip offs. Not saying its a bad thing, this game literally takes the 40k lore like Palworld takes Pokemon mechanics, then throws it a system that is exactly FTL..... 2 things I love.

So its different enough that you wont be pissed buying it and playing it being like "wtf this should just be a mod", but if you played FTL and always went drones, then yea ... its the same gameplay, but you can equip items and abilities on your guys ... and have a ton more crew members.

Yea this will scratch that side game itch for a while, but like it couldof been a mod with a donate button imo since legit all the ideals are rip offs. Worth under 20.00 though.

No ultra wide monitor support in 2025 ... yea, refunding.

Plus no 2 person multiplayer, so if you just wanted to play with a friend youll feel rushed by the rando that joined up. Really want to get into this, but those 2 are hard stops for me, will rebuy once those are fixed.

I wanted to like this game ... but I just can't recommend it. The combat is very clunky and the tutorial is quite ♥♥♥♥. Like the days youre alive isnt explained, the equipment isn't at all, bones arent as well ... I mean the concept is quite awesome, but horrible execution.

Take Doom 2016 and just make it more. Insanely fast paced, but still fluid. The mobility is amazing which just adds more to the chaos going on. My only gripe is that there arent many levels, but each is just WAY tooo large.

Unfortunate but the game is just not great. Combat is not smooth and just boring. Finally bring in drizzt and this is what we get ugghh.

Game was abandoned sadly. Massive bugs, progression is clunky, honestly spend your money elsewhere as there wont be any updates ever.

Might be one of the best games ever made. Seems stupid hard at first but you get the groove of it. Will say it brought about a whole new genre and it still is the king. Survival mode is amazing, campaign is great but honestly the lose points on retry is lame for the completionists attempting to do it on the hardest difficulty.

RTS, resource management, horde survival, upgrade choice matters ... yea its got it.

Hot key and UI access is about the only thing that is better from Star Craft 2. Other wise its literally a mimic of it. Horrible graphic scheme (even though models will be updated on launch), like its takign the style of SC2 which is well over a decade old.

Long story ... just play sc2.

So i get why everyone is down voting this game.I mean if you are new to the series I can see the appeal and really by all means get it if you are not an RPG nerd. This though ... is like outriders and destiny ... basic. Fun for what it is but yea if you are a true dragon age fan this is not the game. Take XCOM fans playing XCOM declassified, thats how hard the changes hit. I loved both those, but after over a decade dont dangle this game as a Dragon Age game.

If you think the first Dragon Age was amazing and each got more basic, just wait for this game to be half off (which it will in a few months) and if you love more action react and not think games this is for you.I have 25ish hours in the game outside steam chart and yeah it doesnt get much deeper.

Been a bit since I have played a game for half on launch ... but this hits the spot. Helldivers 1 but third person and without the addons.

Few gripes:

1.) Encounters feel limited and massively progress based so you get the same quite alot.
2.) Sounds odd, but I have yet to see anyone killed by calling in anything. Only explosions and flamethrowers ... or turrets ... which was like half the fun of the game was the friendly fire.
3.) Bugs, latency, bluescreen, Yes this is happening, but its day 1, ♥♥♥♥ happens. They have already out a few patches and its running great for all 4 of my firneds playing. So my gripe is that its acceptable to launch a product so untested and it being the norm ... but sadly it is the new norm.
4.) Stratagem and weapon progression. The battle pass unlocks for weapons makes it feel ... well very rare that you change weapons at all. I see why they made the change as level progression has its limits but is better for the mid/short term. Give a year and itll feel more diverse/ worth while.
5) Fan favs are not in the game or worthless. Yes mechs and vehicles will be added shortly as they stated, but jetpack has such a long cooldown and is worthless for the most part, personal shield is now an aoe that is mostly worthless, visuals from ship drops and destroyer drops are pretty much non existent.

Ok now for the awesomness ... which is why I heavily recommend the game and played for 13 hours on day 1.

1.) it plays just like helldivers 1 ... but third person. So take like the change that Risk of Rain made going third person to Risk of Rain 2 ... that is pretty much the same feels. One of the few games that pulled it off very well.
2.) Best intro video to a game ever ... its hilarious
3.) Still same fast paced chaos action shooter but a new dimension of difficulty and maneuverability.
4.) The mob diversity changes youre gameplay a surprising amount that it keeps the game play very refreshing for each difficulty.
5.) Tons of upgrades and the addition to upgrading youre ship is a nice addition. Allbeit the upgrades seem lackluster imo, but compared to the first on release as well its still a bit more


Overall, the majority of the negative reviews are people hating on the performance or bugs. I get the pain, but not a reason to review bomb a product as give it a day or 2 and itll be fixed. The gameplay and this game are a gem.
