Blasphemous is a captivating and brutal gaming experience, that combines the world design, atmospheric music and a unique storytelling in a good way.
The moment you enter the world of Cvstodia you're confronted with a dark and haunting reality that makes you keep exploring its depths. One of the standout features in Blasphemous is the world design. The landscapes are beautifully crafted, and have an incredible attention to detail, and some very challenging parts. The boss battles are a balance between challenge and fairness. The difficulty seems a bit lower compared to other games in this genre.
Blasphemous has a unique storytelling approach. It invites the player to piece together the lore and history of Cvstodia through item descriptions and talking to NPCs. What makes Blasphemous truly stand out is its sheer brutality. The game embraces a visceral and bloody aesthetic. The concept of Pain is central to the experience, creating a world that is both disturbing and oddly satisfying. It is, in my opinion, what makes the game most memorable.
Overall, I'd say the game is definitely worth a try and another top game on my Souls-Like list
