I've put in about 75 hours on Hand of Merlin: suffice it to say that I'm a fan. Does it start to lose replayability? Sure. Eventually. But if you pay $20 for a game that gives you 40 good hours of entertainment, well, don't come crying to me.

Hand of Merlin offers a tactical RPG roguelite experience with a threee-person party and an intereting set of abilities that you can combo for effectiveness. The devs are responsive, and the game has fairly few bugs. Thinking carefully about how you want to deploy your units is critical. Recommended.

It's a $1,99 game that can leave you thinking for longer. My secret word was LOVE, but the points it raised will stick with me.

Aiko's Choice is nominally a DLC. In practice, it's three more full missions (and two interesting micro-missions) to the original, filled with all the thought and opportunity you came to know and love in the original. Strongly recommended.

...That playtime can't possibly be right. I don't believe it. This was a 15 hour game or so, and engrossing. Mini-Skyrim, is the essential pitch: relatively open world, lush environment, companions and quests, reputation with different factions, and your moral choices matter.

According to the achievements, 10.6% of the players have completed the game, 25% have hit the halfway point, and 46% have hit the fourth mission of 13. It's worth acknowledging that this is clearly a game that many play and not all complete. That said, it is also a fantastic game, and well worth your time if you like tactical stealth games. Many options and many constraints produce interesting levels, and I expect most players to be able to get 20 hours of play in the first run-through. I bought it at 90% off, at which price I strongly recommend it, and in retrospect would have happily paid for it at 50% off. I'm a student: I never pay full price. But this is an excellent game for someone who likes patient experimentation until they figure out how to solve one micro-puzzle, and then moving onto the next.

Magicmaker is a perfect instance of one of my favorite genres: Iterate-Test RPGs. Try a new build and see how it goes, with no consequences for failure. Experiment with a genuinely impressive variety of fun options. A game is a series of meaningful choices, and that is what Magicmaker provides.

TL;DR: Excellent game in the Fire Emblem genre, in the best ways. Strongly recommended at a lower price point.

I adore Wartile. Only four hours so far, but they're four greatly enjoyed hours, and I am thinking about it outside. Gameplay is realtime with pause, though the pause is just enough to make it very very slow. Characters are differentiated, and enemies are interesting. RPG aspects are there, allowing for interesting combinations of characters, abilities, buffs, and equipment. LoS is a bit of a pain, enough to make the archer character almost unusable for me.

The graphics and audio are a delight for the senses. I know every review mentions this, but they really are. Every set is gorgeous, and the sound is a perfect complement.

Shadow of War is a rare find: a sequel that, instead of being a reluctant extension of a popular game, is what you get if you take the designers of a very good game, and tell them "we have the budget for your wildest hopes and dreams, have fun." Smooth, entertaining, funny in parts, and consistently well-crafted. Strongly recommended for action-RPG fans who want to move slightly towards the RPG side of that spectrum.

A fun stealth game with some interesting RPG mechanics. Recommended for a proper gaming PC (on my laptop there were substantial issues, and playing without a proper mouse is punishing.)
