Monster Hunter is just a great game franchise, and this is a great way to get into it. So I recommend it.

On the other hand: It has a long hand holdy tutorial you cannot easily shake, weird quirks with certain missions not allowing multiplayer for certain parts of it, and a cavalcade of Capcom's bad business practices.
