- GFWL at launch, removed a few years down the line
- PC didn't get the DLC until ~5 years after release
- No Mercenaries United, present in the PS4 / Xbone / Switch version

Adding DRM 15 years after release, 9 years after switching to Steamworks? LFG

Avoid for now.

This is one of the most engaging titles I have played in recent years. Feeding Frenzy 2: Shipwreck Showdown Deluxe™ is one of the last old-school classics, and every modern game should try to learn from the greatness of this title.

From the astounding, vivid, almost LIFELIKE visuals which really capture the feeling of a deep sea aquatic adventure, to the dynamic, orchestral soundtrack which supplements the gameplay extremely well; this game is as close to perfection as one can get. But Feeding Frenzy 2: Shipwreck Showdown Deluxe™ is more than a game; it is a critique towards the human condition in the 21st Century. The world order in Feeding Frenzy 2: Shipwreck Showdown Deluxe™ is eat, or be eaten; much like it is in our society.

Personally, I think this game should be remastered with modern technology, to give the developers the possibility to fully realize their vision for this groundbreaking game, which was not possible at the time of it´s release. Just imagine this: Feeding Frenzy 3. With even better visuals, Oculus Rift Support, and a multiplayer to fully capture the Online market. I have a dream. And this dream is Feeding Frenzy.

Dead Island could have been the best zombie game ever. At least back in 2008. Techland changed the story from a father who tries to find his family to a 4 player coop fragfest. While the combat is still excellent, the RPG elements á la Diablo or Borderlands (as much as I hate it, this is the best fitting comparison) actually ruin the experience. Guns don´t do as much damage as they should, BECAUSE THEY HAVE A LEVEL. Same with melee weapons. Let´s say you get a sword at level 30. A few hours later you find a lead pipe with more base damage; because the ♥♥♥♥ is leveled as well! If they had to implement skills and such, they could have used basic stuff like Strenght, Endurance etc. The result is a flawed, but good coop game for the first few playthroughs, that could have used a bit more polish. The quests just get way too repetitive after a while, unfortunately. Dead Island could have used gameplay similar to DayZ: just try to stay alive, because the story is nothing special. I hope Techland fixes these issues in the sequel (no, not Riptide.). Still, this is a nice game for you and your buddies, that will make you forget time more than once. 8/10

Why, OH GOD WHY UBISOFT?! You had ONE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ job! They took the things that made Far Cry unique (smart AI, huge levels, optional stealth) and made them worse in every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ way possible. The only smart thing the AI does is walking up to wounded teammates, even if they are lying in the middle of a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fire. Next, the huge levels became even bigger; and guess what? In each mission you have to drive from one corner of the map to the next. Joy. The AI? Stealth is almost impossible. You walk up to a guard with your machete in your hand, you get ready to kill him with one hit aaand...he falls to the ground and screams for his teammates. Even if you kill him with a silenced weapon, half of the camp magically knows where you are and starts shooting like its a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Michael Bay movie. Combine this with constantly respawning enemies, and a interesting, but flawed pseudo-"Heart of Darkness"-esque Story, and you get one of the most disappointing sequels of the past years. 6/10

Moriarte: Ignoring IW.net, is the PC version a direct port of the console version?

Mackey-IW: No, PC has custom stuff like mouse control, text chat in game, and graphics settings.
