Numerous Crashes, tons of issues with AMD cards, and crashes mostly associated with an uncapped FPS on Map that leads to hardware crashes. Game is currently unplayable on many graphics cards that even have medium specs, people are also reporting numerous graphical problems with higher end machines. This game is not playable as it is. Great game marred by poor performance and unstable assets.

Needs consistent fixes before its playable will update when game is reasonably playable.

So lets go into this, this game is great, it has great art, great potential, and great combat. Its limited at the moment (before the Breach update), but thats okay and honestly. Its a great game, a great experience.

Now lets discuss it at length :

No Rest for the Wicked is an ARPG of the modern era. Its a fast paced, action game with RPG character mechanics, varied weapon skills that all grant different abilities. Crafting that lets you build items, craft weapons, and gear, Rebuild a city with resources you find in the environment. Its a great game, like everything presented so far makes it on par with their previous games of the Ori Duology.

Its a great departure but screams that this is the dev's real passion, a competent ARPG with a strong emphasis on story telling and character building.

Cons :

Attribute system I do think needs a bit more work as well as leveling up feeling more impactful at the moment. the attribute system needs to be fine combed. I saw mentio nthat they are going to take some liberties and apply systems from other games such as Final Fantasy Tactics, I actually like that game alot, but also hope they also take some inspiration from Might and Magic, Age of Wonders 4, maybe even more mechanical design inspiration from non-arpgs.

Alchemy is not worthwhile. This is mostly cause the current system is just... half baked. The potions currently are three types, focus generation (okayish), stamina generation (okayish), and poise (worthless!). my biggest problem is these potions don't feel impactful. They just are lingering in the background and are n't giving effects. Oils and other items are cool but only last for a short time and because of their associated cost (the same as food items). They have less of incentive to craft items of this type.

Gems, gems are fantastic, are some of the most impactful items, but you can't extract them, so lets say you make a mistake now you are stuck with your decision. You can't improve the gems without significant costs. So that perfect katana is ruined by a bad roll, or that piece of armor you grinded for just not being great. Gems should have a cue from others which is they can be improved but not at a significant cost.

Food and Alchemy, alchemy is back and this time its with its food. Food is one of the main ways of healing in the game, and the best way to heal and regain focus is with food, but unforunately food is one of the most mind numbingly boring parts of the game to collect. I am glad they have increased the rate, but the problem has become fish... fish is the most valuable resource of the game and has high costs for the player. Because alchemy and food use potions. Alchemy uses it for potions, but food uses it to full focus gain and health gain... Guess which one is more valuable? Food. Food will always outweigh the need to craft potions cause you need to heal.

Waypoints, I wish that each major zone, had 1 waypoint you could teleport to, we only need the 1. Such as a major point of interest, a small camp, a place that is safe and has some npcs there guarding it would make it loreful. Or more official waypoint that could be built up after defeating the area boss. It is my only issue with waypoints. I love the system and hoping they expand upon it.

Runes, are awesome. No complaints honestly I just wish there were more and it was less destructive. More focus usage and gain would be awesome.

Itemization, I don't have complaints honestly its a mechanical system I like I just wish the unique items were more interesting visually and then did a bit more with them. I like the curse system essentially creating a mechanical class for players to play as. Some of these 'curses' will grant negatives to the item and you as a player, one instance is minus focus, this essentially makes it so everytime you attack you lose focus, everytime you get hit you lose focus, so your build centers around big damage and with the less focus you have the more damage you do. There are others where essentially you are at full focus and do more damage, etc etc etc. This is actually interesting affixes. I just wish that there was more control? Essentially like I could build specific affixes into an item.

Crafting - Very good, honestly I just wish there was more to do? It seems like they are going in the right direction, but I wish there were specific items I could craft instead of hoping for a slot machine drop. I want there to be more items I can craft, or learn by salvaging them and gaining resources from them.

These aren't really cons, more of mechanics that are clearly being looked over and will be improved. I am more than happy with the game and I highly recommend it. Its a great time and I recommended it to several people personally... I think this game has more than greater potential. IT has the workings of a great game, getting its feet wet, and ready to start the show, and I am more than ready to watch it peform.

Its actually a great game. I highly recommend it, great art, great gameplay, actually fun, and tons of core gameplay.

My biggest criticism is I can't switch to the other nuns because I want to play as them and try them out.

Cons:
Enemys / Computer are very easily able to cheat.
Destroying buildings is extremely hard,
Its almost impossible to build a good economy when everything disappears so quickly.
very little things to research to improve your units. Archers and Grunt / swordsmen units do not listen to commands.
cannons hurt your entire army so not even worth building even with clever tactics.
Cannons are just frankly worse than your normal archers.
AI will continious cheat to get potions for all their units, every single one of their units carries at least two or three on average making their average unit super tanky.
Which even with focus firing particular units if you do not have veterancy's your units will hit like wet tissue paper.

Pros:
Massive battles
awesome night / day cycle
creatures spawn at night.

Conclusion : Needs more time in the bakery. Seeing as this is a demo. I like the concept but what made these classic RTS's so good is the fact that your units rarely could be healed. They relied on natural HP regen. And right now Humans in this game have a superior edge in everyway due to have excessive amounts of healing with Knights. And orcs get a damage bonus which doesn't significantly increase it.

AI will always be better than a players in micro - macro situations. But these become more apparent with the more stress involved.

Farms actually being farms having to be manned by your peasents? wonderful idea. Peasents being able to grab bows and defend your bases? great idea!

But Cannons being unable to shoot through your infantry and cannot attack building?

I do not recommend it at the moment. Interesting concept definitely in the right direction but it feels a bit grindy, even for an RTS.

Game is very buggy, not well paced, and has some of the worst combat mechanics, limited actual difficulty outside of artifical, enemies will just teleport around and kill you. The game is not made for fun, but to be edgy. killing characters left and right because they are trying to surprise you.

FEAR 2 is a mistake of game development.
