If I could give it a mixed, I would - it's a great game that gets undermined by certain aspects, so wait for a sale

Positives:
+Amazing sequel in the gameplay department, improves the foundation set by Human Revolution and vastly expands upon it
+Incredible level design that caters to every kind of playstyle, no wrong way to play
+Prague is one of the most detailed hubs I've ever played in
+Some of the best side quests I've ever played
+Good length, took me longer to complete than HR, but...

Negatives:
-Game ends at a narrative midpoint, with Eidos already underway with developing a "DX NG2"
-Terrible performance and optimisation, especially considering it's a port from Nixxes
-Everything you do in this game is sent back to Square Enix's servers
-The whole aug oppression thing is extremely ham fisted and mostly manifests in cringeworthy, laughable ways like the trains
-The main villain is like what would happen if Barrett from Human Revolution was upgraded to main antagonist status
-Low bar to set, but while the ending was better than Human Revolution, it was still really bad
-Minus Golem City, the non-Prague based missions felt underwhelming
-I literally walked up and pressed Q on the final boss and I won. gg

I hope you like lifeless Minecraft-esque block puzzles that last nearly two hours!

I sure don't.

I'll start this off by saying I wasn't huge on Enemy Unknown.

But on the other hand, I adored this game.

It was punishing and grueling at the same time, yet never felt really unfair (though obviously do expect the infamous HOW DID THAT SHOT MISS SCREW THIS GAME), the premise felt more fun since I really like the idea of being a guerilla task force, and it just overall felt more compact and tighter. I enjoyed my whole time with this game.

There are plenty of performance issues, most prominent being the rocky frame rate (which is baffling considering this is what, an Unreal 3 game in 2016?), but I midway through my playthrough I upgraded my RAM from 8 to 16, and found that I got a smooth 60fps throughout.

I fully recommend this game if you enjoy strategy stuff.

P.S. if you're looking to have a ton of fun, make sure you download a ton of voice pack mods. By the end my team was Joel from Vinesauce, Quiet and Venom from MGSV, GLaDOS, Preston Garvey, and best of all Psi Operative Macho Man Randy Savage

Firewatch is a game rich in natural beauty, in both the literal nature itself, and the relationship between Henry and Delilah. This is a game I think I won't forget for a long time.

That said, $20 is a little steep an asking price for the length (I clocked in at just under 3 and a half hours). Get it when it's a little cheaper, because it's a completely unique experience worth your time.

I led a war to retake Scotland from some jerks and I called in allies. The war ended because I died of a cold. 30 years on, I try to retake Scotland again. I called in allies.

The war ended because I died of a cold.

11/10 would die from cold again.

Alright, full disclosure first. I loved New Vegas - it was my first Fallout game and it ate my whole summer last year. However, I didn't like Fallout 3 - I just found it dull and wasn't engaged. Similarly, I didn't like Skyrim much. I can see why people would like both games but neither were really for me. So I took a gamble - I liked what I saw of 4 so I figured I'd buy it on the basis I liked New Vegas, but at the same time, I spent many months worrying that I might not like it because I didn't like 3 or Skyrim.

Turns out I adore Fallout 4. I just really, really do.

Sure, it's not without its faults - I feel the protagonist is kind of cardboardy and the main plot isn't super investing, and the keyboard controls show signs of serious PC port syndrome. I also don't get why they recycled half of 3's soundtrack with the radio in this game (I played enough of it to recall the majority of its songs) - it's not like the early to mid 20th century was devoid of good music. My biggest complaint is that you can only have one companion at a time regardless of them being humanoid or a dog, but I'm sure modders will fix that soon.

If you're on the fence I'd say watch gameplay footage post-release and see if you really, really want it, but if you're still on the fence then just wait until a sale. That and read other reviews. Whilst I'm loving the game there are a lot of people who aren't.

p.s. Nick Valentine is best companion
