Goodbye Deponia (Part 3 of 3)

The long waiting time for the final part of the Deponia Trilogy was totally worth it. Goodbye Deponia has exceeded the high standards of the first 2 parts. It was really funny with many emotional moments. The handpainted locations are made with love for details.

Rufus (you) will have clones in this part which will give you a new interface option after a while. You can switch between your clones all the time.

Goal (the girl) will be more childish as in the last part. ;)

Can you save Deponia? Will you finally arrive Elysium?

The ending is for you and should not get spoiled. I liked it!

Another great game by Telltale.

About Episode 1 of 5:

It's a Crime Investigation Adventure. (short CIA) XD

The story is dark and is mixing up fables with real world. You play as `Bigby (The big bad wolf), your partner is Snow White and so on. Many well known fable characters have it's part in this game. Telltale has improved the controls a bit, it was much smoother to play as some parts of The Walking Dead. Your decisions will also change the story but i guess Telltales Main Script will again not be touched.

That ending of EP1 was... i can't even describe it without spoiling anything. Just don't spoil yourself with screenshots or videos.

Definitely worth the money.

For now this game gets 10/10 from me. Let's see how EP2-5 will be.

When i first saw a picture of Evoland in Steam Store i was immediatly closing it cause it shows an 8bit green-grey, C64 style. Nothing against C64, i still have one, but i wont see that in 2013.

Then i saw a little review accidently where i saw 3D grahics in it. My interest was awakened.

Evoland is a time-travel between the grapic engines from C64 style to today. But the biggest reference of it is Final Fantasy VII.

As mentioned you start with 8bit graphic and have to learn how to walk left and right, some minutes later you will unlock sounds and shortly thereafter COLOR!!! Well, the time from C64 to your first 3D effect is not very long, your first 3D HD graphics will come after 1 hour already.

The whole game took me only ~4 hours. It was good invested 4 hours for me, for the price we could fight. 10€ (Sep2013) is ok but 5€ would be more fair for that playlength.

The story is kinda funny, not only cause of that much references. 7/10

Game Dev Tycoon is a time-travel from the good old (C64) to the future console (PS5)

Why i have used () brackets? Cause this game does not have the rights to use real names of course. So the C64 went to G64, the Playstation went to Playsystem, the XBOX is a mBox and so on.

The game-story is also time-dependent, it starts in a time where the C64 came out (~1982) and ends where the future console PS5 will come out. All in one ~35years. The time goes a bit to fast i think so that you will lose control when too much new consoles or handhelds will come out all the time. You have to concentrate on max 3-4 systems, that's the best tactic. You can play further after 35 years.

You start in your garage creating your first little game, later you can have your own office and employees, you can create your own console, your own gaming platform, your own engine and and and...

The game does not have much animations, it's a really simple simulator, you see your avatar and your employers sitting on there desks and creating games, that's all. You create a name for your game, choose a genre, choose which engine you will use, you follow the process, you will earn knowledge for make better games such as AAA titles and then you will be rewarded with bad points by game magazines...

Game was ok and somehow a bit addictive but the price of ~9€ (Sep2013) is too high.
Grab it on sale for max. 3€. That's ok and will give you some fun if you like simulations.

This game seems to be a reference to our throwaway society.

You start with a catalog of items which you can buy and burn in your fireplace, they will delivered to you in time from 5 seconds to 2+ minutes. They cost virtual money and you can earn money for burning them. The whole game contains 7 catalogs à 20 items which you have to unlock by burn more and create combination. (Sushi + Pufferfish)

Combinations can create funny effects in your fireplace. Between your burning fun you will get letters from your neighbor and other people. This is meant as story and is kinda interesting if you interprete it correct.

As further you go as crazier the items will be. Burn the universe!!!

Nice entertainment for cold days. 7/10

1) You should have played Still Life 1 first!!!

2) Save as much as possible cause you can die and this game has some countdown-action parts.

3) You inventory is limited, which means you have to outsource stuff in special boxes for extra space. This means if you do not have the correct item with you in an time based action sequence you will may fail.

4) Use a walkthough!!! Really!!! It will not totally destroy the story, it will save your gaming fun. This game will also give you only 1 chance for the good ending sequence. If you fail you will get no new chance cause the game will destroy your savegames then. YES, you haven't missread that!!!

About the game: You play again as Victoria McPherson, your FBI Test Kit is much more detailed with 3D Scanner, USB Stick for hacking and all the other stuff you need to be an FBI Agent. You will also play as the latest victim of the murder, Paloma Hernandez, a journalist working on the story of the killer.

The game totally reminds me of movies like SAW, the killer is playing games with you and it's very hard to win.

The story is great, so many twists. You think you have the murder and then it will totally surprise you. Over and over again...

Biggest Negativ: If you miss just one little evidence, a finger print or a little blood spatter the game will not continue even if it isn't really important for the story. And there are many of them! That's why you should play with walkthrough.

All in one: Good game but not as good as Still Life 1 was. 7/10

Good Crime Adventure. You play as FBI Agent Victoria McPherson and your job is it to catch a brutal psychokiller. As FBI Agent you have many tools to investigate a crime scene. Blood traces, finger prints and more you have to find and analyse.

The game is not just a FBI simulator, it's still an adventure.

With an inventory where you have to combine stuff and so on. You need to find passwords, you have to solve puzzles and you have to talk to everyone. This game is not for kids cause of some nudity and gore crime scenes. You will also play as Victorias Grandfather in some flashbacks.

Some parts of the game are not easy and the story will not continue if you miss a little piece or an evidence but nothing is impossible.

You should play Still Life 2 directly after this one.
