Starts out good then becomes what it makes fun of. Second half of the game is very tedious. Also it says "Carefully plan your targets, moves and ammo. Get ready to sweat!" but you can beat the game by just heavy attacking while strafing or moving back and forth. Its braindead, but mobs are very tanky in the second half.

Botting on runescape is more fun than this

Good survival crafting slop

Surprisingly fun and engaging roguelike with a scary "just one more game" pull. The mix of roguelike deckbuilder with tower defence/tug of war is a great gameplay loop and keeps you coming back for more. Its easy to learn hard to master with countless small optimisations. Building your animals in a certain way you didnt think was possible at first glance is also a lot of fun. Also helps that the art is great and full of sovl.
Literally my only critique is that the last boss can be overly punishing on a certain kind of build that is easy to fall into if you haven't played the boss before at higher difficulties, but this will most likely only frustrate you on one or two runs.

Game feels unfinished.
Combat is absolutely filler content of the worst sort, its meh at the start but becomes grating by the middle of the game.
Story is good, and environment is too, but the story is massively hampered by the fact that the 2 biggest (only) climaxes are preceded by dungeon crawls filled to the brim with combat. Protip: run past 95% of enemies in the game!
Game would be 7/8-10 if combat was just removed and I say that as generally a combat enjoyer.
Airship you get way too late, and act 3 is way too short, like sub 1 hour.

Another problem but less so is how worthless 90% of loot is, over half the rings and accessories are related to combat but you can easily beat the game without putting any stats into combat by just upgrading your weapon.

Housing system is frontloaded and feels forced, like its put in there to satisfy early access gooners who cry about content. Game is not big enough to justify such a system imo.

Also you can pretty much max everything on 1 character so only reason to replay is to get story ending A or B.
