Simple, yet manages to find a way into the nostalgia most of us would rather not be nostalgic about. As much as Emily just "Doesn't want to relive old memories." We are all doing exactly that.

A Counter Strike To The Gaming Industry

Sometimes I wonder why other games try and compete with CSS, I mean this is THE generic first person shooter, and the most enticing to play.

Remember when Battlefield 3 came along and it was conisdered the COD killer and all that, I feel like the COD killer title goes to games which try too hard to be about tactics and skill whereas Counter Strike out shines this issue with a certain element of simpleness, Generally in first person shooters you will find that no matter how much of the game you play if you don't kill enough people and get enough XP you are almost always going to be out skilled by a guy with a gun that is only available at prestige 20 or something like that and for the £40 I spent on Battlefield 3 this was certainly present 95% of the time and when you see this it really kills the fun.

Fun

Now that's a word that games really revolve around, but if you try to make a multiplayer game overly serious it'll make all the mistakes COD makes every year, however Counter Strike evades these issue, How? Because there is no levelling up in CSS and it feels fun and not overly complicated like COD or BF3 and certainly not as ♥♥♥♥♥♥ as my ex wife- their multiplayer systems are.

In the end it all comes down to gameplay, wether a game decides it's going to have the best FPS graphics in the world or the best sound effects if it doesn't get you geared up to the challenge of a real FPS game or focus on the key gameplay aspect of most games, being FUN. Then it doesn't deserve your money Like my ex wi-

Overall this game could do with an update or two, I mean it was partially impacted by the previous one but a little touch up of it's mechanics would do wonders to this COD KILLER

7/10 - But trust me any other FPS wont come close...

*&@! EXPLOSIONS

Now all the stupidness is over with.. Gah what am I saying these reviews always turn out to be about explosions so for once this one will not be.

Right lets get started

To the developers of Just Cause 2 and JC2MP thank you for literally the best game i've played since GTA: San Andreas, and that is a very bold statement of me to make, considering GTA SA was the only real open world game I have ever really fell in love with, Well there was my ex wife but.- anyway

But in all seriousness I truely adore this Open World game, It doesn't feel like it is limited by over realism like GTA however it is down to the ground awesome and minimally repetitive like Saints Row 3 or 4 can be, Nevertheless without the multiplayer this game would surely lose it's current high status and personally, I think if the developers didn't brush up any bugs or keep the community impressed in any way, This game would've died in weeks BUT The development team and the modders have truely created a traumitisingly outstanding game.

However, I feel this game may have achieved more with a little less DLC and a little more TLC (No not Tummy Loving Care) and that would've been best applied to the storyline and possibly the voice acting BUT This game is strange okay? Like one minute i'll be raining critisism on it from high heaven and the next i'll be saying a counterpoint... I'm arguing with myself End my ex wife but let- Ehem sorry about that

Ugh, I guess the thing is this game always saves itself, Whatever I say I always realise the immediate counterpoint with it, but hey, Open World isn't for everyone.]#

(Actually thinking about it the multiplayer does have A LOT of game modes, OH FCUK I'M DOING IT AGAIN)

Bad story - Oooh Pretty scenery
Bad voice acting- Oooh Pretty cars
A couple nitpicky things- Oooh what are you doing with that gun avalanche?

9 (Well I guess there was that one thin-) 10/10

I realised most open world games always need to have some sort of abbreviation to their name

Oh and by the way.

Okay so if you're wondering why my review is not on the actual JC2 store page it's because, well actually I have no idea. I just thought "Hey, this is what i consider the best version of Just Cause 2 to be so this is where is will go".

Faster Than Light you say? Two hours of gameplay earlier I would've asked what all of the commotion was about this game, now I know what it was that really has made me fall in love with this thrilling game, I've never been a gigantic fan of the whole 'Battle in Space' idea but truth be told I have always wanted a game, whether it be an MMORPG or an Action/Adventure game that could draw my imagination of suspense, I've been on the edge of my seat when I've seen Jets fly towards the ground and pull up suddenly but when I have to chose whether to enter an Unexplored Nebula or a Rebel Controlled sector it would be an understatement to say I was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bricks.

I guess what drew me along to this game was it's artwork and how that worked along side the gameplay, It's a real inspiring moment when I write a review on a game i truely adore for it's mechanics and features which are very rare in other games and I've also had experiences on this game in an hour that would take 10 hours in another game and again I guess that relates back to game's working well with their mechanics for example: I can only enjoy a game like Far Cry 3 when i've got a hunter bow and feel like a badass; But this game I enjoyed because it didn't make me wait 5 hours for the good stuff! Like my ex wife- Ehem anyway...

"So obviously every game has cons" A delusional user asks

Well, yes, but when a game is a gem within a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you kind of just endulge it and let it caress you- Uh I mean the critisisms just diminish, with all the ♥♥♥♥ coming out on the steam market and 90% of all Indie games being in early access it's really nice to see a game which feels like it was made by people who "Get" gamers.

So if you happen to be bored of the triple A's then sit down, play this, lose a day.

11/10

Where to start on a game like Garry's Mod, This extravagant, huge and laid-back physics sandbox is endless fun, there is little complaining over making a bathtub with explosives strapped to the front crashing into a horde of zombies and while you may feel cut off from the real world while you stike 45 hours total game time, don't fear, the online is 100x bigger and more expansive than the single player. Provided that you have at least one of the half life games you can be faced with the widest array of game modes wether that be just having fun with players on creative, or screaming at the moniter while you run as a beer bottle on Prop Hunt this multiplayer is too good to be true and it doesn't stop there, if you get bored of the base content or want to check out another players work then go mod the **** out of this game, IN GAME! this is truely going on my top 10 games of all time!

Well, here I find myself again. Where you ask? In the depth of the forth game in an amazing run of Saints Row's's's. This game has met some of my expectations but i wouldn't hesitate to critise it's map design as it feels like not enough effort was put into creating a new map, being the president would have been fun if Icould stay in the white house for more than a scene, however i was certainly humbled by SR4's approach to fun, without the limits of a dark story line or confinement to a single personality story driven character you actually find yourself in a fun, civillian murdering sandbox.
I feel the addition of aliens to either be a swallow of classic video game culture or a prolonged and sincere F*** you to gaming cliche's, to put aside the map it actually isn't a terrible game and is quite enjoyable to play with presedential super powers, I especially like being able to throw cars. Something about that no one man should have all that power?
Overall rating 7-8/10
Graphics 8/10
Gameplay 9/10
World Design 6/10
Story 9/10

So this was my first time playing Payday, after constant refferals and reccomendations I finally bought it, with what i must say as medium expectations of which I had for this game it certainlty lived up. I must critizise it's crackdown on new players but this is to be expected from a sequel.
So to anyone considering buying Payday 2, Make sure you are familiar with fast paced First Person gameplay but aside from that this game hits every nail on the head. The graphics are actually quite impressive for a speed infulenced genre and if anything complimenting the soundtrack is the least i can do.
My ratings will fall on a 8-9/10, as it certainly lacks some features as the usage of the off shore bank account.
