Saw this on the Total Biscuit The Cynical Brit Youtube channel - best review of the game I found.

It can be a bit laggy on an older PC, but if you have a fast gaming PC then it should be ok.
Great fun, it does driving well, melee combat excellently and gun play well - the story is good and the characters are well done.

Well worth it, especially if you pick it up cheap, but still worth it at its normal price.

Great game, like the other 2 Hexcell games.

Cheap, good fun and makes you concentrate, with the added bonus of you always want to do just one more puzzle.
You really can't ask for more for under $1 (in a steam sale).

Play it and enjoy.

Great game, fun and makes you think - harder than the original but the challenge of completing each puzzle with no mistakes keeps your attention.

Highly recoomend it and the other Hexcell games....especially if you pick them up as a bundle in a steam sale.

Great little game I picked up for less than $1 in the steam sale.

Yes it is like Minesweeper, but it makes you think and it gets harder as you progress, and I love the fact it keeps track of your mistakes so it isn't just a non thinkling clickfest.

High recommend this game and the other two follow up games.

I adore this game. There are plenty of reviews about how the game plays, so I won't rehash those.

The best thing about this game is how smooth the combat is, whether like me you use mouse and keyboard or a controller it seems the developers really cared that the combat was fun, smooth, enjoyable and problem free.

Murdering Oraks (Orcs by another name) has never been so much fun, whether using stealth, arrows or just plain brutality, the joy you get when you kill one that defeated you previously cannot be adequately explained.

Get this game, have fun playing out your psychopathic tendancies and then sit back and relax knowing you have a worthy outlet to work off your fustration any time you need to.

The only Total War game I ever really enjoyed, after this ones they made added too much micro management of cities, provinces and people.

The game is now outdated and looks it, but the game play and combat is more fun than any of the sequals.
I know a lot of people myself included experience a lot of crashes to desktop, but after a quick google search there is a solution for most people, turn down the resolution from max (or something like that) and the crashes stop....at least they did for me and a lot of other people.

So if you feel nostalgic and want to play a total war game for a reasonable price, without having to micro manage too much then give it another go, it may bring back happy memories, but at the very least it won't annoy you like all the sequals do.

A fun little game.
Yes it was a port from a mobile game, but the concept is fun and the execution of the turn based combat is well done.

Only one real flaw, it crashes frequently, like every 2-3 missions which is really annoying.
If it wasn't for the crashes I would happily recommend this game as a fun casual game, but with the crashes I can only say stay away from this one unless you have the patience of a saint (and how many gamers can honestly claim that)

I will probably update this once I have more playing time.

There are some nice little touches, like noting the number of away fans in the match info during the game.

The 3D match is a bit smoother than FM 2016....but they really need to do something about the players arms, it looks like they are all doing metal mickey impressions.

Some of the screens are more detailed and the screens that interface with your backroom staff are better - the job advert system works better, the default skin can be harsh on the eyes on certain screens, but mainly looks ok.

The overall gameplay at this point seems slightly better than FM 2016, however until I have played longer I can't say whether or not it will be addictive or not yet.

Forgot to add, they have improved the stupid Ref in 3D, now at least he doesn't seem to always be where the ball is going, he actually stays out of the way more often than not, which was one of the most annoying things with the highlights of FM 2016 for me.

Speed wise it is definitely faster than the last version, 14 leagues (with all the lower divions) and the large database, and it seems far faster to progress day to day than FM 2016 was with the same setup

Update: Still loving the speed, simulated one season with 39 leagues in 15 countries in 2 hours, that would take 4 times longer on FM 2016.

However, got myself appointed as Chelsea manager, got to be in charge for one game, 2nd leg of a UEFA Cup game against Leverkusen (sp?) the previous manager having lost the 1st leg 3-0. I won the game 2-1, got knocked out, immediately summoned to an emergency board meeting and fired.....WTF.

Now I'm am annoyed, and probably won't play this game again for a while until I calm down and there are some patches applied to stop crap like that

One of those games you either love or hate.
I found it fun, it is mildly addictive and you keep wanting to keep going one more day to try and get everything working perfectly.

For the cheap price it is a fun little game that is worth wsting a few hours of your life upon

I love this game. The original was great, and the enhanced edition made it worth playing once again.

Amazing how years after it originally was released I still remembered so much of the quests, the characters and the plots. To me that is proof of how good it was, that it stuck with me for all these years and to date I have never found another game of this genre that has come close to the quality of this game (and BG2)
