If this game (Red Dead Online) have a separate review from their main game, it will definitely be "mixed" or worse.
Can't even have a peaceful game with all these hackers running rampant in the online lobbies.
Don't get the game unless you don't mind hackers ruining your game sessions with your buddies.

Game's environment design, character design, combat gameplay, cinematics, etc. are all great.
The only downside? The occasional lag due to the game running on Azure servers. Hopefully they can fix the server issues ASAP. But otherwise, a game that I could invest a lot of time in for the foreseeable future.

While there are a few bugs here and there, they are not jarring to gameplay.
Had a ton of fun playing it with friends.

Despite having good graphical design, the game mechanics is too flawed to be played.

Get your buddies together, as the four of you either serve the monster as dinner hot, or be left out in the wild cold.
Not much of a teamplayer and more of a trash-your-team-play person? Monster is ready to rekt the hunters.

It never gets old, as you watch your friends rage over that golden hook or rockets.

Highly recommend if you want to destroy your relationship with someone.

Everything in this game carries a realistic approach.
You can get infected, then turn into one of them before attacking your own team members.
Guns don't carry the almighty power of doing one-shot-kill on zombies, you gotta aim the head.
Everything in this game is limited, ranging from ammo to your flashlight batteries. Better conserve those, else you will regret it.
Despite being called a mod of Half Life 2, I think this game can more or less debut as its own title.
Best played together with friends, while you wrack your brain and your wits together to figure out how to escape the hell.

A game that seemed nice on the first glance, but start failing the moment you start playing.
Bad combo system, bugged instances, and quests that no one even bothers trying to understand.
Definitely a NOPE
