Maximum Camp, Minimum Cringe!

Vastly superior graphics coupled with a game world which seems at least 3 times bigger than the original and with seasons to boot!

At time of writing the game is still in EA so crafting, building and exploration options still feel pretty limited but i love the potential here Especially with K and V albeit if the devs can make their AI more dynamic to aid you in combat, yet to witness either register a hit.

Can't wait to see where they take this...

What is it about survival horror remakes that works more often than not?

Everything is Improved story wise, characters are more fleshed out, even the 2 disposables who arrive with you on the Kellion.

Lighting is sensational! The different areas of the Ishimura are absolutely bathed in atmosphere but the sound design takes the cake! OMG! They even used the creepy twinkle twinkle little star rendition from way back in 08 for a small elevator section.

Will DS2 get the same treatment is all am left wondering?

Took a break from the console version for about 2 years, graphically superior!

Good to see some new cool features added like the tram in Vikendi and recon drones.

Gameplay is as fun and addictive as ever And now it's Free! So winner winner...

Occupies that sweet spot between Total War style top down strategy & tactical planning And authentic C&C RTS from the good old days.

AI is no slouch with what they throw at you even on the smallest maps so it's advisable to spend more than a few hours training in skirmish mode.

Great atmosphere with a real sense of foreboding about exploring dark, dingy caves.

Although the game's idea of "death" is being dragged unconscious to the same cave location again and again making more for an inconvenience than an actual threat but be sure to save often regardless.

Very much looking forward to the sequel!

A potential Masterpiece!!

Never played Minecraft but this is probably better anyway, Main campaign is just a few pieces of content short of perfection, Limitless potential for modders too.

A minor complaint is that structures appear weightless when under apparent stress e.g. a roof will stay up because of a single voxel cube in the building's far corner, lack of NPCs also makes the work feel a tad stale.

For an early access title though this is 5 Star stuff!

Ever wonder why modern shooters cannot support more than 100 players?...Well just try cranking the bot count upto 1k and see how your machine handles ;)

Fun, quirky little shooter.

Kind of the antithesis to run n gun/rambo/1 man army style ww2 shooters we've been used to since the dawn of fps games.

Teamwork is 100% necessary, players without a mic will be at a disadvantage so some extra investment recommended (I speak as i currently do not own one).

Community is mature and well versed in tactics so newbies better keep their egos in check.

Graphical details are splendid albeit somewhat dreary depending on a map's weather, artillery, bomb effects maybe the best I've ever seen.

Visual contact with the enemy will come few and far between unless spawning right into the action, always follow a good squad leader.

Hoping to see North Africa Campaign Maps added in future.
