I too, love it when a company puts a game on sale, waits it out, then proceeds to issue a cease and desist the day before h2m comes out.

Do yourself a favor and emulate the original gears of war trilogy. I bought this during the summer sale and still regret it.

EDIT: Thanks to a good friend of mine hooking me up with the campaign, I was able to play it on the steam version and holy mother it's good. It feels like Halo again, they took the best parts of halo 2, 3, and 4's Chief and combined them into one. The enemies are interesting again, no more of those promethoen enemies that were repetitive to fight, weapons in the sandbox are not so clustered anymore. The OST is also a love letter to the older series, it sounds like Halo again. Halo is back baby, it's well worth the money to get the campaign.

I will say, you die at awkward times a lot in my experience playing the campaign that felt off. Another criticism of mine is no mission replayability for right now. Not unless you create a new save to start a new campaign, I hope 343 addresses this sooner rather than later as that really limits the amount of fun you can have such as replaying a mission with a special weapon variant you got from a target or even earned through valor. That would be fun.

As for Multiplayer, they are at least hearing us and making changes, XP is being closely monitored including the store, the weekly armor bundle that was the soldier bundle felt better to me as in it was closer to what I want to see as in more items in bundles that are worth the price and less of a bunch of emblems that are all separate for each armor, vehicle and weapon for like $10 to $15 as that was dumb. I don't want to see the katana's either for $20 ever again as that was also upsurd for that price for just swords. I think what 343 could do to further improve the store is tweak the old store bundles to make them cheaper or adding more armor pieces where you get more bang with your buck. One other thing I would like to add as well is they should give players more than one opportunities for the event Yorai armor core as I'm pretty concerned that once the event is over, it's gone forever and that would go against what they did in MCC where you have chances to get the limited items in the exchange after the challenges for them were gone.

Overall, I'm going to change my rating to positive because of the campaign alone is well worth it and 343 commiting to the changes, I hope Microsoft as well takes this feedback into consideration. I will leave my original review down below for you all to see if you're interested.

This honestly hurts to write this review as I love Halo and it has been a big part of my childhood.

The core gameplay is the best we've seen in the series in a long time. I haven't had this much fun since Halo Reach on the Xbox 360 days, but the progression system and the monetization sucks. They've not been honest about having items being unlocked through just playing the game, You have to pay just to get the cool stuff in Infinite. Even when you pay for you, the only way to progress through them is challenges which discourage team work as everyone is out for themselves completing challenges. Speaking of that, the event just dropped and they also lied about everything being free in that as well. You can't even get XP just by playing the game all the time. It's all tied to challenges, which are also RNG based as the game puts you in a game that isn't even your choice. Just playlists of random gamemodes that you can't even choose from compared to Halo MCC and the older Halo titles. $20 for an armor set? $10 for a armor coating and some armor attachments that you can't even earn through gameplay, are you for real?

At this point, I'm just going to wait for the campaign to drop and not touch MP right now. If you all are sick and tired like I am with the lies and them not getting the message, vote with your wallets. Stop buying from the store, don't buy the season pass, and don't buy tiers in the pass. We can make a change if we vote with our wallets.

Don't make the same mistake I did playing this game. Devs think spawning a demoman right behind an area you just cleared where there was no demoman there what so ever is balanced. Balance just consists of enemies that'll just run to you and melee you while you're taking care of a rifleman or sniper or even a turret. Can't even find a match for the new PvE missions I unlocked as well as everyone seems to be playing the same ♥♥♥♥ all the time, just the training mission and the helicopter bridge mission which that ended up being glitched the second time so there goes my potential rewards, just wasted because of a stupid bug where the helicopter couldn't be shot down.

I can't even change server regions myself unless I am in matchmaking for at least 3 minutes and even then, it doesn't help.

They need to change Matchmaking and completely overhaul PvE as it's just stupidly unbalanced and for the love of god let me change my server region without having to wait 3 minutes finding a match to get the option.

I think it's about time I put a review up for this game as I nomatied it and disappointed about fallout 76.

This game is honestly a masterpiece when it comes to the fallout franchise. It done so many things right and has done justice for the franchise. The modding is amazing, you can play FO3 in FNV through a mod which is more of a reason to pick this up if you have fallout 3, it just enchanes your experience by granting you the ability to mod weapons now as well as having traits that make a return. I honestly have wishful that one day there will be another fallout like this one in the future, DLC's are worth it as well, you will invest in so many hours in those as well.
