Gonna start this off by saying Forza's an acquired taste. If you just came from Need For Speed, Burnout, or some other arcade racer, prepare for a massive culture shock. Forza Horizon (especially 5) takes pride in realism over arcade mechanics, so oftentimes an arcade mindset is not the best for this game. What's the word I'm looking for? Simcade?

This game does cater to the casual player with its difficulty settings and accessibility. As a standalone driving game, I think it is amazing! But there are a few things to note. For one, you're gonna wanna watch out on the graphics. For some reason, this game performs differently on every PC build, and I don't know the origin of this situation. Don't blast the graphics/resolution unless you have a monster PC build, cause this game could possibly bring a few GPU's to their knees. But then again, who am I to tell you how to play right?

From a gameplay standpoint, it is easy to get bored of this game. Once you finish the "story", there's pretty much nothing to do besides the Forza Playlist, which is good and all, but sometimes gets very repetitive. That and, unless you have many friends to play this game and hangout with, you could be bored easily. The sandbox and configurations for the cars are great, though they don't excel the likes of BeamNG.drive. It feels awesome, creating a custom performance build for your car, but sometimes, the builds one makes is situational for the car, environment, race type, purpose, etc etc. I'm not going to bring my cruising car on a Trial event or a Championship.

Do I recommend this game? Yes. Try it. If you don't like it, that is more than understandable. Again, acquired taste.
