After beating the game on the "standard highest" difficulty (first playthrough) that didn't require unlocking I must say that this is worthy successor of the original Doom from 1992 that everyone loved and praised. I've decided to wait half a year with the review, only to make sure it still holds up as REALLY THAT GOOD in my head, and it sure does.
If you liked the original Doom, and you don't have an issue with playing a shooter with WASD and mouse-aim - you will probably like this one as well.

Lots of frantic action, satisfying kills and glorious battles.

The most glaring negative in the game is the fact that execution-kills are very repetetive, so if you tend to use them (and it's worth to do so) - it might annoy you. This is a minor minus anyway.

I\'ve bought the game after playing the demo, made a friend buy it after I played through campaign, and we\'re now playing together for 30h+ already, still in one game, and waiting for 0.13 changes.

The game is a very good experience, if you like to think, organize, and sometimes rework what you did to improve upon your own ideas. (or your friends)

It\'s hard for me to compare it directly to any other game, but it\'s a Super Complex Factory Building Simulation-Strategy with some action elements mixed in.

Another thing that always happens when I start this game...
18:00 - Okay, let\'s play for an hour!
I play for a bit, realise that I have to light the lights in my room... Oh crap, three hours passed and I\'m in the middle of something!

Yeah, don\'t get this game if you don\'t have time to spare this way. :)

If you have someone to play with, recommended times 100. Especially taking into the consideration the future improvements that are incoming. This is already (0.12) a very high quality game.

Edit: At 0.14 this game is even better than it was! I recommend it to everyone who feels like tackling engineering-like tasks in a fun form :)

Edit: At 0.15 - the game is definitely on the right track. Factorio Team improves upon ideas without breaking them! ( I recommend reading their Factorio Friday Facts on the site - very interesting read)

Edit: At 0.16 - it still holds up, and is getting better and better! Expensive mode + rail world = Greatness Awaits!

Edit: At 0.17 - Factorio is better than ever!

Edit: At 1.0 - Factorio is EVEN better; I've played with a bunch of friends - very much awesome experience ;)

Edit: At 2023 - With the upcoming expansion, I can't wait to play Factorio again <3
