top tier boomer shooter- only really gets good in the second half after all the enemies and weapons are introduced, though. The boomer shooter style of limited resources and lack of any i-frame moves makes for pretty dated and sometimes annoying gameplay, but that comes along with it being a boomer shooter. 8/10

I'm about halfway done with the main objective of the game, and this game is not the amazing masterpiece many claim it is. Combat and parrying feel weak and meaningless, limited heals and a dangerous metdroidvania world make for unfun exploration, and way too many bosses have horrible gimmicks and hidden second healthbars. Main character is also pretty insufferable.
