While a bit rough around the edges (given that the game's been out for three days), this is an absolutely fantastic remake.

Everything good about AoM is back, everything else has been made better. Give it a shot if you ever loved Age of Myth, or if you're an AoE fan.

Couple Month Update:
- Still a few issues (minor visual bugs mostly)
- Regular patches
- Overall, nothing has changed in my opinion. The base game is still fantastic, even if some of the new content has been lacking.

I can only speak for Aria of Sorrow right now, but that game alone is worth the $20 asking price. Throwing in the other two GBA Igavanias *and* Dracula X on the side? 100% worth it.

If you haven't played a Castlevania before, and you're coming into this from the perspective of a Metroidvania fan—perhaps you played Hollow Knight or Bloodstained and want something of similar quality—I'd recommend starting with Aria of Sorrow.

Aria is definitely the most polished of the three games, and is the most 'classic Metroidvania' out of all of them.

Regarding the other three games, I've haven't seen Drac X yet, but from what I've seen on-stream of HoD and CotM, they're excellent games as well, albeit with a bit steeper of a learning curve and more dated graphics.

I only have two complaints about the Advance collection: it would be a dream come true if there were rebindable keyboard controls, to allow people to use the WASD we've all probably gotten used to; and to disable to pause menu so it doesn't interrupt your sessions on accident because you were trying to backdash.

Anyways, with that said, please, *please*, pick up the Advance Collection and give it a go. Castlevania is a genre-definer for a reason, and there is arguably no better way to experience it than through Aria of Sorrow.

Very solid metroidvania, with Team Ladybug's trademark excellent pixel art.

+ the elements system for healing
+ the various different subweapons
+ map traversal is fun once you get the hang of it
+ fun boss fights (If not especially hard)
+ good world design
+ movement options are fun, and allow for a good bit of cool tech (though it feels a bit slow)

- confusing AF lore
- feels a bit easy
- samey weapons
- relatively short

Overall, fun game to beat, if a bit short (beat it in 6 and a half hours). Would recommend.

Has a surprising amount of depth, for what it is. When I started playing I thought it would be a fun little distraction, but as I keep playing it, and discovering more and more little things about the game I realize I became addicted.

And yes, for the love of god, Imposters can fix lights.

This Game is EPIC!

as well as easter egg packed, and includes tons of weapons (swords, guns, staffs, spells, bows,) and bosses to try them out on.
