Cute time sink. I really enjoy how in depth they have gotten over the years, but still don't take themselves too seriously. This is a great little clicker game for RPG nerds. There are a lot of easter eggs for all kinds of shows and movies. I'm sure that I haven't even caught them all. If you feel like dropping cash into it, you can progress really quickly, but you are also fine not putting any cash into it at all, if you don't feel the need to.

If you like Terraria, you'll like Starbound. If you don't like Terraria, you'll like Starbound, because you can mod it to the point of being an entirely different game.

You can explore, fight, complete missions, or just build a colony and farm. There are epic weapons, pokemon-esque pet capturing, eggs to hatch and raise the critters inside, and randomly generated quests. The main story is pretty intense, and the side missions, although they can be tedious if you keep making new characters, really help teach gameplay and develop your character. All in all, I recommend this game to anyone who wants something fun and does or doesn't have a graphically strong PC.
