The game makes good on the promises in the demo. It hooked me, and I do not even remotely regret buying it at (almost) full price.
Inscryption reminds me a lot of rogue-lites, but the way it integrates your "failures" and progression into the storyline throughout the game is simply wonderful.
The horror elements are present but definitely not jarring for someone who doesn't much like horror (like me).
I would have liked being able to continue the base game from where I left off in the demo. That is, so far, my only criticism.

Edit: I cannot express how much I love this game. It went beyond my expectations. From the card play, to the art styles and music, it was a blast. This is what a narrative campaign for a card game should be. Many, many big titles could learn a thing or two from this. Well played, team. Good game.
