I used to play this in its much earlier days. It's hard to explain how fun and how unplayable it was as the same time.
Performance on lower end systems was actually very commendable, it was a beautiful game visually and I'm very impressed by how well it ran when I had nothing but integrated graphics on a bad standard desktop.

The gameplay was fluid, fun and I do miss it actually, but the luck I had grinding for things was not fun in the slightest. Most people in these reviews seem to have good luck progressing, I didn't. Days could go by with me booting up, running the usual and not getting a single drop worth anything, and it's not fun to be stuck in a position where you aren't strong enough for the more interesting/rewarding missions.
I mitigated a little by by partying up with some stronger players a few times in higher end missions in the hope of getting better drops, but how fun is it to be basically a sightseer in a video game where you play as a ninja? It's not. Progression was non existent, I spent so much time leeching from other players either as Valkyr to stay invincible, or constantly stealthed/downed. It was pathetic and I got bored no matter how enticing the actual gameplay was.

I hope one day they make a standalone game with a smaller mission subsection but an actually humane progression system.
Play this if you have no life and don't want one, or don't mind effectively playing the same few missions in a video game as a job. It demands too much for what could and should have been an amazing co-op game to unwind for a bit with your friends. I love co-op games, this would have been a perfect package for me personally if greed fuelled by frustration wasn't the main focus of the game's development. It's a shame.

I can't be bothered to run in real life, so this is great!
