Early Access Review
~~I received this game for free for offering to help test the level editing tools c:~~

This game is a rhythm game like no other. It vaguely calls to other rhythm games, with a highway scrolling towards you, and notes moving along said highway, but past that, this is an all new dimension.

It features (at time of review) 30 hand-crafted tracks, each with 5 difficulty levels, and more free content promised on the way.

The difficulty of this game is unique, moving the difficulty from being super technical and mechanical, to being a lot more mental. This isn't a game about how fast you can hit buttons in a certain order, or how fast you can flick your wrist and cross your arms. This is a game about how well you can stay in a state of flow, and really bring yourself to control the wheel as if it were a part of you.

Its simple control scheme makes it a very accessible game. 3 simple inputs: Tap the wheel to grab it, turn the wheel to match the colours, and hit the beat button to the beat notes.

I personally play the game with a drawing tablet, many top players like to stick with mouse + keyboard, while others swear by their midi DJ wheels. It's a very open and customizable game.

And speaking of customizability, custom tracks exist!

With a built in-editor, (which, admittedly at time of reviewing is a little bit clunky and not super-intuitive) importing your own custom songs to hand-craft to your liking is very doable. There's no Workshop support, however, because the devs don't want to open that legal can of worms for dealing with musical copyright.

Plus, there's tons of community around the game. With leaderboards, daily challenges, Spin.FM synchronized multiplayer lobbies for anyone to hop in/out of at any time, you're sure to make some friends and memories with this title.

Overall, it's an exceptionally crafted game, which keeps getting better and better through its development. Packed with tons of replayability, love and care from the devs, and a great community, purchasing this game will not be a mistake c:
