DK nah this is one of the best written games I've played in a very long while, and is the only game I even seen that has Hollywood and didn't suck. In fact them using Reeves for selling it was a big red flag to me for the longest while I didn't even care or wishlist it until 2022.

tl;dr get the game for the story, the characters, the dialogue, is better than WItcher 3. Why?

Literally had not gave a shit until late 2022, and by then was more the realization its sound design and good characters, the setting, something about it made me give it another chance and I'm glad I did.

I'm completely serious. When you talk about W3 characters you realize they nearly all are worse than CP77. Most of them are annoying or you don't have an emotional connection with. I don't know how to explain it they just did it better. Rogue, Judy, Rivers, even Dex all feel like real people somehow, in a way they did not and felt like cardboard in Witcher 3. The story was way better written. Its main lacks are things I personally never expected and kids overhyped the game, like I knew it wasnt going to have choices that mattered, I always knew it's going to be an adventure game on rails and not a real RPG (like Witcher 3 somewhat).

. Even a few great characters with brief moments blew everybody but the Crones out of the water imo. Very superbly written game with excellent delivery. Ironically the main lack was Reeves' weird choice of sounding tired and bored all the time, which only works so well because he comes off as every time I hear Johnny talk I feel like I just got him out of bed and he has a hangover and wondering wth I want and why am I bothering him. He sounds hungover, jaded, and bored, which is perfect for Silverhand. Rather than bombastic action hero, I get this guy that realizes his body doesn't even have a marker, I like depressed Johnny. Nearly every single other character likewise feels so real, so even the ones you don't like you dislike them because they feel like real dislikeable people.

People that complain about "woke" shit in games are nearly always the kind of easily butthurt snowflakes that try and derail threads talking about mechanics into how they hate women and black people or whatever tf, you cancerous retards need to learn to understand that entire genres like cyberpunk, Star Wars, and World of Darkness is literally going to offend you. It's the same people that got Dungeons and Dragons censored in 80s because they were offended and butthurt about magic being "against our Christian values" the same people that in the 90s and 00s tried banning and censoring videogames, and the same cancerous boomers and their misbegotten abortion dodgers shitetposting on here how offended they are. Seriously though, the writing had the emotional depth of a sci-fi original. None of the characters were thoughtful or easy to get attached. You could have killed characters dogs and we wouldn't have cared, and that says everything.
