After about 10 hours, I think the best way to describe this game is "a modern version of RCT2". This game uses the core gameplay of RCT2 almost to a tee. I'd say the biggest change is the addition of "behind the scenes" staff mechanics. In this game things such as staff rooms, staff only paths, and training rooms add a layer to the game mechanics. Truth be told, these mechanics don't add a significant level of complexity to the game.

But, l'm not looking for the wheel reinvented here. I wanted a face lift on the tried and true formula of RCT1 & RCT2, and that's what i got. Refined building mechanics, more nuanced scenarios, and a faithful rendition of a classic make this a good buy for anyone who wants the games of their childhood with a fresh coat of paint.

Overall: 8/10

It's not groundbreaking, but it doesn't need to be. It's comfort food done right.
