Despite seemingly being abandoned before, this game is still being updated by passionate devs who keep in touch with the community, in what essentially is a complete opposite of TF2's situation. If you ever wanted to check this "payday but in ww2" out but decided against it due to lukewarm reviews, you might as well hop in and help the homies make this game more fun with your feedback. There's some massive skill system and loot bag mechanics overhauls coming up, maybe they'll even add a Luger somewhere down the line...

It is very similar to the Payday games in this regard. There is an offline mode but it's basically just a local host where you won't be bothered by randoms or friends so you have three bots to keep you company. There's like a dozen heists total, with two multi-day operations that you can save and continue later (so you don't have to complete it in one sitting), and three Outlaw Raids which you have to unlock by finding secret documents. There's four character classes you need to level up and weapon upgrade challenges to grind to keep your attention, and the playerbase is generally friendly and based.
