This game has mastered satisfying platforming. It has a very limited number of abilities, really just a jump and a dash, but even with just that moving around feels amazing. You combine that with the dozens of mechanics slowly introduced throughout the game and the movement becomes both simple and dynamic at the same time, with sections that feel tight, but not unfair. The learning curve of this game feels very refined, where you are often getting challenged, but not too much that its hard to get through, and not too little that you get bored. Improving just feels natural. By the end of the game I was way better than I was at the start, even though I didn't really have to try to learn new techniques.
Aside from the game play, this game is still amazing. The art is simple and clear, you can basically always tell whats going on, and it just looks good as well. The music is amazing (thanks Lena Raine) and always feels fitting to the game play. The story is lovely, with good themes.
There is already so much content in this game, but if it still isn't enough then you can just download more through mods. The Everest mod loader is easy to install and makes getting mods too easy, as well as keeping your mods up to date automatically. I 100% recommend the 2020 spring collab pack, a lot of the levels added are really fun (not the water level though, that one was painful).
I'm getting a bit tired of writing, so I'm just gonna end this here even though I want to keep writing good things about this game. Basically, play this game if you like 2D platformers, or even if you don't it might still be a good pick. It's easy to pick up and very satisfying.
