So, I'm going to be pretty negative with this one.

First off, the gameplay and graphics feel and look like this is a 2008 video game... It's on PC, is supposed to be "nextGen" visuals, and it isn't. NBA 2k13 looks better than this game does... and thats nearly 5 full games ago! The scan a face tool, well it's annoying at best to use. Not very optimally created. The game as a whole, unless you have a PC powerful enough to run 4k, looks like complete crap. The MyPLAYER mode was an improvement in my mind. Giving a legitimate depth and story to YOUR career, FIFA 17 did this with a static pre-made character and it was phenomenal, so thumbs up there 2K! Other issues include shotty internet connections and speeds (and I DO have good internet, seeing I can host 6 people all on an MMO on my internet at the same time with no major issues). So I'd rate this game a 2/10. Definitely cut corners compared to console and is most certainly NOT worth 60 dollars.

Okay, let's go with a pro/con style review! ALSO I reccommend this game for NEW PLAYERS to learn the game.

PROS:
Teaches you how to play in the most basic of ways.
Technically F2P (Free to play)
Limits the number of each card according to rarity allowed in decks (4 of any common, 3 of uncommon, 2 rare, and 1 mythic) This means you can put the respective number of any given card for each individual card in the deck which is good for learning the game, limiting those who know how to play from destroying newbies.

CONS
It's a micro transaction trap. If you pay money to get packs, you are nearly guarunteed to win over someone playing the same total time in the game.
It limits you from making full decks. Since you can only have 2 of each rare you put in your deck, it limits your decks synnergy and ability to test how the deck would run at full capacity.
Only has one years worth of cards out of over 20 years of the game.
Had to replace one of the main staples in Magic Origins because they couldn't get the game to work properly with it (Archangel of Tithes replaced with an M12 Aura called Angelic Destiny, which in most cases is actually better and more powerful)
Time limit on responses make the game incredibly annoying for both new and old players. Miss it, and it might just lose you games.

If you want to learn the basics, play the story lines, open a few packs, construct and play a few basic decks, don't spend money on it, and if you like it enough, find a local card shop and make a real deck with all the cards. Simplist way to do things. Still not the attrocity that MTGO is.

This game... I have a lot of fun, sometimes, enough for me to have kept the game. That doesn't mean it's a good game though. There is no balance in this game, unless your favorite character is Sage Naruto, 9tailed chakra naruto, sage sasuke, naruto the last naruto or sasuke, or Mother Kaguya, you're ♥♥♥♥ out of luck if you play against them. Minato and Shisui Uchiha are also characters who are just overpowered. Those final two are the only "normal" characters that can compete with the broken ones. The special battles in the adventure mode are not okay either. When Suigetsu takes out half your health in 3 attacks (basic attacks, not jutsu) and you have to go through 3 full attack sequences just to match, even as the broken characters, there is a massive issue in balancing. This isn't just increasing the difficulty anymore, it's bad design. I'm all for a challenge, but not one that takes me training with the 3 strongest characters in game, and still takes me over an hour to beat after 4 or 5 hours of training with them. I'm glad I couldn't just use Shisui and Itachi like I always do, but this is just bad. This is why I stopped watching the show to begin with (bad design and power creeping out the ass), and it's just not fun anymore to play knowing this is the norm in this game. Soul Calibur 4 was the last game I saw such bad game design with balancing levels and characters. Star Killer in that game and Yoda were more or less unbeatable, and the first section of one of the final Ascending floors in the tower climb mode was also next to impossible and I literally had to troll to win. This is the case here.

I give this game a 4.5/10. It's really not that great of a game. and it would be higher if the balancing issues weren't so prominent. It's just boring playing against the same characters and being forced to use certain ones just to compete and have fun. This is the case online btw. I can barely use Shisui online thanks to primarily mother Kaguya.

Early Access Review
So, I'm not reviewing gameplay on this. I'm reviewing my personal experience of how this game is. Note I haven't played the actual game yet.

This game... you better either be okay with a lot of lag, game crashing, and long AF loading screens, or have or be able to get a good gaming PC. I don't mean an 800 dollar laptop, I'm talking about a pwerful one, one that will cost 1500+ dollars. and even then it's probably not going to run efficiently. I haven't played this game because my 1500$ laptop can't run it efficiently enough for me to have fun. The game always freezes or crashes anywhere from initial startup to the initial game loading screen. I know it's loading a lot, but 3 hours of loading is not okay. I also take into account router quality. I have very good router quality. My bandwidth on the other hand is ♥♥♥♥. Still haven't found the issue there, but over all I'm connected directly to my router and still have these same issues. The devs really apparently don't care that their game is only compatible with those who have expensive computers or expensive graphics units. I've heard a lot about the in game issues, so for me I'm more annoyed I can't play to find for myself the in game issues and whether they are game breaking or bareable. So before you buy this poorly optimized ♥♥♥♥ hole for 30 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dollars (I'd rather throw my money at the original release of Sonic Boom or RE6) be aware it is so not worth the money. Like "Life is Feudal" the main meta/player base are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that prey on the new players just to be ♥♥♥♥♥. It doesn't help them, doesn't have any benefits to them in game, except for them to feel good about themselves when in reality they are sore losers who live in the parents basement and ♥♥♥♥ blow up dolls. Do not buy this game. Even at 1 cent it is not worth it.

Okay, Re-writing this to be a little clearer. First is gameplay/game quality, which is what a review should be first and foremost. ALSO ADDING THIS IN: I love DnD. I truly do. The only other game that pulls more crap than this game does though is SWTOR.

I really enjoy the diversity of the races and classes of this game. It's like WoW in that regard, but with more realism to how the characters look (not cartoon-e). The gameplay is fairly easy to learn, but takes time to truely master any given class. Just like the pen and paper version (Which I play a lot). The devs do regular update the game, although the overall look of the game is horribly outdated, which is unfortunately a bi-product of a 2006 MMORPG choosing to use more realism in how everything looks. This is the issue so many old PS1/PS2 and other similar games and stations have now. So the game and content is definitely worth trying this game, whether subscription or free to play.

Now let's discuss the 5 reasons I stopped playing the game.

1. Opening menu screen glitch. This issue is where the games resolution not matching your PC's screen's resolution is not optimized properly and causes an issue where your cursor in game doesn't click where it is, but is further down/right of the physical in game cursor. As a note!!! YOU CAN SOLVE THIS WHILE THIS PROBLEM IS IN EFFECT. JUST FIND ONE MENU TAB THAT LIGHTS UP AND NOTE WHERE THE GAME CURSOR IS AT THAT TIME AND GO INTO THE OPTIONS MENU/GRAPHICS/GAME RESOLUTION.

2. Free to play... Not really. After 6 years playing Warframe, and 4 playing Guild Wars 2, well let's say this game isn't truely Free to Play. After a certain point, you'll have to pay money, grind for a few months to get enough in-game currency (the premium kind) or grind for a while to Level past the wall that they specifically place to try and get you to spend money.

3. Just not worth the time and energy and money to play knowing they are free to play, pay wall progression purposely for monetary purposes, Both Subscription based, and locked races/classes behind either sub or premium currency (bought by real money or obscenely long grinding for it).

4. The devs seriously only want money, the game as consistently gotten worse since going Free to Play, since they are strictly continuing this game ONLY to get money. Not to create a quality gaming experience.

5. Final and last straw was going in to create a new character, trying for over 45 minutes to create their name... Then counting up the free versus locked races/classes. Note, I can understand having some of these locked to reward those who pay a subscription. But not 60% (combining total of each race/class). 7 out of the 11 Races are locked. Human, Elf, Halfling, and Dwarf are the free races. 11 out of 20 classes are locked. Combined... 18/31 locked, 13 free combined. Again, not an issue, except that this is 58.06% of all character creation content is LOCKED. WoW gives you all (except most recent expansion) up to level 20. GW2 is ALL except the expansions is free to play. Yes the entire Base Game of Guild Wars 2 is free to play. No sub locked crap, no locked crap except content in the expansions. You get the full original launch GW2 game for free. Waframe is completely free to play except Player created content. Most other MMO's are this way too. NO OTHER GAME HAS 60% CHARACTER CREATION CONTENT LOCKED. NONE!!!!!

Other than more microtransactions (that they pull off as needed to progress), more locked character creation content at start, and multiple pay walls (and seemingly purposefully slowing your progression at these walls), this game is fun. I just don't like games that resemble EA's main motto of business. PAY PAY PAY!!!! Yeah, No.

As much as I love Skyrim, this is such a buggy piece of crap it's nearly unplayable to me. Most of the mods conflict with the main game for some reason and cause Skyrim to Crash. Then it doesn't open up again so you can't figure out which one(s) are causing the issue. On top of the mods issue, the base version, while kind of looks better, performs worse at launch than the original Skyrim, more small bugs, meshing issues, characters missing dialogue, and so on. I've seen maybe one update for this so far since launch, and most of the meshing and graphic issues are still there and you need a MOD to fix them, which the devs need to do so themselves. If you don't have a good computer, don't even try running this game on optimal specs, since one of the things to fix the big graphics issues is to put your graphics settings on high or ultra. All in all if either you don't mind all of this, or one of the few people who doesn't get these issues, it's well worth the money, especially being on sale, but you have been informed, read the reviews, check online about major issues all together, and then shell out 40 bucks.

I decided to re-write my review. I have over 250 hours on this game since it's release last summer, and I have good and bad alike to voice about this game.
Before I go into the bullets, I want to mention a major issue with this game (for me).
When playing a game, you are assigned stoppage time like IRL. So let's say it's +4 minutes. The issue I have is that if the CPU team has possession during the extra time period, the game won't call time and give a minimum of 2 extra minutes to the CPU. Flip it and YOU have possession. not even 20 seconds after the +4 minutes ends the ref calls the game... EVEN if you are about to score/shoot. and even if they have it in their half and are stalling, it'll be 2+ extra minutes after the end of the 4 minute extra time period before the ref calls the game. I have tested this. I have on nearly every occasion had this happen. For me, this is a big problem. Just had to voice this to everyone.

Pro's:
-Gameplay is pretty nice, fluid, and easy to get used to.
-Goalies are no longer pathetic POS's. They heavily updated and revamped the GK system in the game and in MY opinion, the cpu GK mechanics and over all AI stomps on FIFA 17's system.
-Menu's and interface's are easy to use and learn
-Creation lacks a little but is still pretty good (Minus crappy facial hair and hair styles). What I mean is that the beards ALL look like stubble. and the hair just looks really fake. Fifa def has the edge over this game on creation.
-Visuals outside of matches are pretty decent, put the specs on high to know what I mean.
-It's now only 20 bucks.
-Game modes are fun and interesting, my favorite being My player and my league, but the online modes are really cool and fairly easy to get used to.

CONS:
-In match visuals... overall MAYBE equal to very early X-Box 360 days, but definitely PS2 at the least.
-Lack of the English leagues and lack of real players. (If this is what you like, go fifa until PES steps up and is able to accomplish this). Also lack of MLS. (All MLS teams likenesses are given to FIFA and EA so don't expect this any time soon).
-Creation system could use better looking visuals, better textures, better selection of gear, and better hair and facial hair.
-Create a team is pretty much non-existent now. I really loved WE6, 7, 8, and 9, and 10 for this.
-originally not worth the 40-60 dollar price tag.
Some connection issues playing online, not many in my experience, but does lose connection like expected.

With this all being said, I'd still recommend this game, but I'd wait until you can see what PES2018 is going to play and look like. For this particular game there is a group online that did a HUGE overhaul of the game in terms of minor glitches and adding in players and teams. Google SMOKE PES2017 and you'll find it. They provide a step by step install tutorial and it's really easy to get installed and I love it. Adds several different leagues (in packs of 3 leagues and you choose one set of three provided) but they got the German, Japanese, MLS, Chinese, and Colombian leagues added as well as Russian league. So it's nice. Before them, if you add ANY player on a team not included in the major leagues in the base game you got a random alternate player. Again... I do recommend this game, but with PES18 just a month or so away, I'd wait and see if the 59.99 price tag on the new game is worth it over this one's 20 dollar one.

My only issue with this game is that, from the character selection screen there doesn't appear to be a way to quit the game. If there is then I missed it due to the other main issue. The text is exhaustably small. Because of this I can't read anything, barely able to with my computer right up in my face. The text should be larger. Otherwise, this game is pretty good, also very traditional with each class's style and purpose. Holds truer to the "holy trinity" style than most other MMO's I've played in the last few years.

So... Yeah. I just don't care enough to honestly review this PC trash port. Just going to say... Remember when the regular DW games had CAW too? I do!!!! Bring that back and you MIGHT be able to salvage DW9 Koei.
