A WARNING. I have the same PC i had at launch... and the game now runs 1000% worse. barely runs 15fps when it was a solid 45-50 fps the first week or so.

So, review of the gameplay itself.. 9/10 easy. Granted i wish you could do more and your choices mattered a bit more, but it's a solid as f*** first HP RPG game. Well done WB and Avalanche.

However, a few issues.

First is the fact that I still have graphics issues (Not trouble running it) but more so constant popping and down grading during play and cut scenes. I can deal with low graphic quality, but I hate when it keeps going from ultra down to "can barely make out what that object is" blurry. I have a good PC and should NOT be having these issues. I didn't have them at launch either mind you, just the last couple days after the first official patch/update.
The other graphic type issue is the fact the game is only Windowed or Windowed Full screen. Why... Why is it not fullscreen compatible.

Final issue is actually with the gameplay... they said you could go as dark as you wanted... but you can't. Even learning the forbidden curses doesn't change anything. no one bats an eye when you one shot the main wizard bad guy. You can't randomly kill or attack anyone that isn't deemed an enemy in game (i understand the whole no school shooting aspect and stuff) but this literally makes it impossible to go as "dark as you want to". Choose better words next time. I honestly did want to do an evil playthrough like I can do in Skyrim. but again, I understand why you can't, just don't literally lie to us next time.

Game is still 100% worth getting.

Overall, very pleased with this one. Doesn't need the sex scenes to be entertaining and well made. Honestly the sex scenes were more of a bonus! The story is mostly well written, the characters and fairly unique and diverse, making them interesting, although I'd love if the dynamics were more diverse between the MC and all the others. Making the sex a bit harder to get to would be a fantastic thing for this novel. I'd love to see a continuation of it too, following the company again, maybe having Fay, Aurea, and Izumi (I think that's how you spell the names) join the company like Cressa did. Def worth looking into if you're a fan of adult VN's, especially fantasy ones.

Barely played..... most of the texture's are not rendered in properly. game itself and gameplay is fun enough, but c'mon. windows, flooring, and walls not rendering in properly is just... pathetic sony.

So far, the game is just all around fun. Just like my praises of Lust Theory being unique and different in terms of porn VN's, this does the same. It's unique, from it's main character and side characters, to all the friends and relationships you make, down to both the story line and the sex scenes. The only thing that would make this a better game is more impactful choices. Yes you make choices, and yes the do impact the story to a degree... but it's not like College Kings where it changes scenes with each major decision. All in All, a very solid experience and def worth the price tag. (all the girls are unique which is a major plus)

I wish i were reviewing the game as a whole, but im not. And if anyone has experienced the issue i have and knows how to fix it, please tell me... I'd love to actually play the full storyline. So... I have an issue with the first interactive sex scene (the tavern owner with the magic touch). No matter what I do, how i save, or reload and so on, the sex scene keeps repeating even though I click on continue game. Can't review a game with an issue that seemingly has no fix. So if you have one, I'm all ears, but until then, this game gets a whopping 2/10 from me.

So, definitely recommend. easy 9/10 from me so far. Has PLENTY of content already, plenty of things to do. It's both fun and challenging, even the easiest difficulty comes with challenges. You can choose from 3 difficulties, but even after that, there's advanced settings that let you customize the difficulty to your liking. Runs fairly smooth, minor lag issues (mostly when autosaving) also you may get random crashes (and I mean random... nothing I can tell specifically causes them).

Disclaimer: This game isn't very well optimized yet. Not everyone will have the same issue, but gotta say it. I consistently have 15 or less fps and lag issues. Bound to happen, not a huge problem, but if you have an older computer or a really cheap one, you may have this issue to a more severe degree.

A few things I'd love to see added
New biomes: Great Lakes and Rivers biomes would be fantastic... maybe adding in some inlets and deltas (like Nile Delta), as well as potentially more tropical styled biomes, or some island ones with seafaring as a mechanic.
I'd also love it if the buildings were not locked to 4 angles. adding in some angles, maybe octagonal, would be greatly appreciated. Especially since the opening images make it seem like the buildings can be placed at odd angles for like rounded roadways and such.

Overall well worth my time and money.

Game is anti-depressants the effing game. Seriously... feeling down? angry? sad? hopeless? lost? Play this game and forget everything. literally cannot be in a bad mood while playing this game... I've tried. Better than any drug or therapist. This is all you need. Slime Rancher is your anti-depressant, your best friend you can vent to about anything. Tell it all your worries and grievances and it'll make your life better, guaranteed. It's also cheaper than medication xD... buy the game dang it all.

So, it's far from finished. Since the open beta a couple years ago though it's improved substantially. It's only going to continue getting better too. Base game currently has about 23-25 species total, with at least 15 more scheduled within the next year or 2 (if all goes according to plan of course). Also dinosaur breeding is set for the final quarterly update before full game launch, which is fantastic. Currently the summer lineup includes hot fixes, and small updates adding amenity coverage and misc items like signs and such. Of course, the game runs well, look great, and definitely takes some getting used to. I can't wait to see where this game goes from here, as well as beyond it's final early access update. Keep up the great work guys!

Where to begin... First let me say... I went into this game not expecting much, especially compared to College Kings (college bound is honestly crap imo). I was extremely surprised at Lust Theory. So let's break it down a bit.
What I hate about the game
~Honestly only one major issue comes to mind and that's the non-consensual sex stuff and such. Not a huge problem considering the gist of the game, but it doesn't *need* to be in there, well not fully any how.
~yeah... no that's honestly pretty much it. apart from some very minute details.
What I loved
~The first thing that pops into mind... both the combination of the writing (conversations) and the voice actors. Fricken A they both do a phenomenal job. Like it's realistic talk... about things like Fallout, current events, red dead and so on. And the VA's just bring it to life man. Sex scenes don't even need to be in this game for it to be a fun and interesting game.
~The other major plus is the uniqueness of it all. From the conversations and voice acting, to the characters themselves having clearly different personalities and still clearly developing throughout the story, and of course the Groundhog day aspect. I honestly wish it were just a tad bit harder to get everything. It's honestly just grinding and not actually difficult.

All in all... 9.5/10. Absolutely worth playing. (I'm not sure if it has a censored option, so keep that in mind when deciding to invest into the game).

Hmmmm.... honestly, not a bad vn game. and I can't fault them for pricing the 3rd act at 10 bucks since the first two are free. BUT, each act is pretty short over all, with the 3rd act seemingly being the shortest... not that it actually is (I honestly don't know). Yes there are choices in the game, and it has some good characters and such, but it's just not at the top for me. Far from it really. Still worth playing through the 1st and 2nd acts though to get a good sense of the game... but be careful about it, cause I'm not sure if the 3rd act dlc counts towards it's own play time or is added into the first 2 free acts. So playing the first 2 might make refunding the 3rd act impossible before even playing the 3rd act. Just be aware of the 2hour playtime mark for returns.
