Would you recommend this game to other players?
Ask yourself the following question:
Do you love yourself?
- If the answer is yes, don't play this game.
- If the answer is no; or if your a masochist. This is the perfect game for you.

Back in 2011 I reviewed this game stating that it was "One of the best games ever". When I initially purchased this game with the Orange Box back in 2007, I had overlooked this game and was more focused on the Half-Life 2 series than the other two games included in the bundle. When I finally got around to playing TF2 I would've never thought that for the following years I would still be playing this game. It's comedic character’s, endless options for weapons & cosmetics, legendary maps, the “Meet The (Insert mercenary here) videos” etc. This game has it all, and it keeps you coming back for more. I played this game to death; I'd even play it each morning before the school bus would come to pick me up; And the hours I played with friends each day/night, creating so many crazy memories growing up, it was immensely fun. It wasn't until around 2015 when my hype for TF2 would slowly start die down. For the next few years, I took a hiatus almost never starting the game up. If I did I’d play it for a few minutes just to drop it again, not playing it for months after. It wasn’t until the last year or two that I've gotten back into the TF2 mood; All the nostalgic memories came flooding back, similarly to when I first started playing it. Now I’m back, playing TF2 regularly, I never thought that I would play this game again honestly. But this game has a charm to it. I’ve come to believe that maybe you never really stop playing this game. It’s just a matter of when you come back to it. Because when you do, there is a good chance it’ll rope you in and you’ll stick around for a while. As of writing this TF2 is 16 years old. Not many games have a player base that sticks around for more than two to three years’ (if they're lucky). In addition, it's last major update was in 2016!! (granted it gets the occasional bug fixes and yearly community Halloween/Christmas updates, but that's beside the point) and the player base is still going strong to this day. If there was any game out there that was deserving of the title for “Best Game Ever”, I think Team Fortress 2 should be right near the top with all the others.
