This game rewards smart and attentive players. Its the type of game that if you think you can do something with a weapon, you likely can and the freedom you get is just as satisfying as good shooting mechanics.

Doom Distilled to the minute. This feels like a song like Kanye west condensed to a minute.

This game is really satisfying. It has great sound design and the randomly generated weapons are great.

I think i'll need more time with the game but given the last 2 games in the series, you can kind of get a good feel of what your getting into. It plays much like Verdun except with a focus on structures. Engineers can place barbed wire and sandbags, you can create command posts for your generals to issue orders from. The whole game kind of functions around utilizing and controlling these placable structures and its great from someone who seems to be gravitating towards playing Officer.

I do however agree with someone's review that weapons are way too hard to unlock in this game. I've only unlocked 1 weapon in my 5 hours of gameplay. In Verdun, i probably would have unlocked a whole squadron of people with their own unique perks and weapons. Personally though, its not that big of a deal for me since the maps are quite a redeeming feature and not just because they look good. The verticality of the maps is a great feature. It supplements the weapons that players use quite well.

aside from that, my only real issue is that the shovel to dig stuff , is a bit awkward as a meelee weapon. since you cant just click to attack (which matters more in this game when your enemies may be up an incline.).

Its good but i also find it funny that we made a game to find a way to spend less effort playing another game.

I think a particularly nasty thing about this update isn't vrchat being ♥♥♥♥♥, but rather that it seems to have awoken the dregs of our society to go on a game they probably don't play's store page to waste their time ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on other people's loss. It feels like when someone trolls a youtuber with 100 subs in that it's uncomfortable to watch and it makes noone want to have to talk to you.

For alot of VR games, VR is a dot point. For this game, its the whole point. If half life Alyx wasn't made, this game would be its spiritual successor.

I didn't know that on the 15th of April 2022 i'd experience the magic of a Disneyland ride in the cramped space of my room, but here i am. What a time it is to be alive.

This game is the best experience of VR you are going to have until valve creates another VR title. Its double the price of most VR titles but also 5 times the game.

If you're going to play this game, i honestly think its best played with the knowledge of the game spoiled partially. I think almost everyone whose reviewed this game can agree that a first blind playthrough of this game is rough. I come from the perspective of someone who had the gameplay and some of the more obscure secrets shown for me and i can say having the time to mull this game over before buying it was good. One of this game's greatest qualities is how much intrigue the game builds with its world. Its a car crash that you can't look away from.

And its probably the best designed piece of ♥♥♥♥ in all of video games. Never have so many inherently bad design descisions been used so effectively to make a compelling game experience, though at the same time its probably these descisions that make it compelling. Mechanically, the game does everything in its power to get you to explore. It kills you alot to get you to find as many paths as possible which reward your exploration with gadgets and weapons which then fuel more exploration. Its great.
