I don't have words to describe the greatness of this game. One of the best games I have ever played. Just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ play it, it was an insult and a spit on the face of the devs that it wasn't Game Of The Year

FOR THE EMPEROR, BROTHER

I think people expected more of the base game, but this expansion is most likely the peak of From Software design.

The landscapes are messmerizing (hehe), every new area you walk in you are completely stunned, leaving you impressed at every step of the way. Every time you go into a new area, it keeps getting better and they keep captivating your attention and how good they look, which is a very hard thing to do.

"It will be the size of Limgrave". Miyazaki was completely capping here. It is huge and it feels like it can be perfectly be a standalone game, the expansion can be longer than 90% of the games these days.

The soundtrack is amazing, I got goosebumps constantly while fighting the main bosses.
I do not lie when I say that even when I was getting my ♥♥♥♥ pushed in, the design of the bosses together with the soundtrack just had me smiling.

You will get humbled throughout, it is HARD and will require you adjusting your equipment depending on the enemy that you are fighting against. As much as people claim this, you do NOT get 1-2 shot if you are running proper gear.

In the end, it is a Souls game DLC/expansion, these are known to be harder than the base game. Sekiro is a kids game compared to this.

You will probably have some performance issues here and there, I had some FPS drops and stutter with the latest NVIDIA drivers. I did not experience anything game breaking that would completely ruin my experience. Running with 12700k, 32GB RAM and 3070TI with everything on the max setting except SSAO and RTX. The sights are too messmerizing to lower the settings.

After playing through the main game the weeks before the release with a new character, I have finished the expansion after about 30-35 hours, taking about 6h straight to beat the final boss without summons/ashes being RL 190, completely shaking when I was done cause of the intensity of the fight.

To everybody crying that it is too hard and that you get attacked relentlessly, you just simply need to get good. There is literally no way around this than calling it a skill issue. It is VERY challenging but this is what you should expect from them, they just turned it up compared to the rest of the games and DLC/expansions. Nothing beats the rewarding feeling afterwards.

I wish I could experience it for the first time again because it is simply marvelous. Actual peak game design in these days where most games are complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
