Since release(09.09) I've had almost only negative experience with the online components of this game, and unless anything changes it will remain that way for public lobbies. Right now the only somewhat reliable way I'm able to play the game is getting a full 3 man squad of people and hoping I don't get looped into a "joining server" bug.

Matchmaking borderline just doesn't work majority of the time. I get put into
- in-progress missions and kicked by a duo playing together, because private lobbies are a feature we apparently have to wait for
- loaded into completely wrong missions altogether
- lobbies with people who didn't even queue up for anything and don't know why I'm in their lobby in the first place/completely random people joining my lobby equally as confused as I am, which happened twice in both instances
- looped in a "joining server" load screen until I force quit the game
- staring contest lobbies - because apparently queueing as a specific class to guarantee you can play the game was too much effort to implement
- servers where all three people are well above 100-150 ping
and that's on top of the fact that you don't have any control over if you're going to host a lobby, start a fresh mission, join another lobby, join a mission in progress etc. which completely sucks any fun out of the game, considering how many loading screens you have to sit through during the matchmaking. It's a real shame, because there is a lot of fun to be had in Space Marine 2, it's just a complete dice roll if the game decides to work fine or not.

I played for 15 hours to witness a floating wizard head, Nas'hrah, my beloved party member, ♥♥♥♥ talk gods straight to their faces. He would then shamelessly follow it up by spontaneously combusting their bodies aflame, and laugh at their demise. So unbelievably based.

My party also consisted of D'arce, a paladin who would have literal depressive meltdowns every half an hour, needing to be IV-dripfed vodka to keep her going.

There was also a girl, who lost one of her legs and an arm. However, since she's technically an actual ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ eldritch god lmao she has no need for such petty desires as having all limbs. Besides, I taught her pyromancy, Nas'hrah sure was proud.

10/10, don't jump into a toilet.

Early Access Review
A funny little game where you can experience such joys of life as:

- working a high risk job, full time, in an underpaid enviroment
- running away from eletrically charged bees(they are faster than you)
- getting stalked in dark corridors of an abandoned facility by a weird shadow man(he's faster than you)
- realising that you've never actually fully cured your arachnophobia(you're faster than them though)
- entering a room only to be electrocuted by a gelatinous supercharged goopy disco floor
- getting grabbed and mauled in the safety and comfort of your own ship
- breaking your legs as you figure out carrying 105 lbs over a rusty sheet metal bridge wasn't the smartest idea

and more.

Can recommend. Would bargain with hoarding bugs again.

Painful and frustrating. Not a soulslike, has more in common with Diablo or Dynasty Warriors than with souls. Not always fair, not always fun, but certainly a sum of all, quite fun. Definitely dragged a bit down by just the fact that Nioh 2 exists(and so far, is just infinitely more enjoyable).

I was initially hesitant to give another CoD game a go, the last one I seriously played MP in was either og MW2 or BO1, however if I bought a CoD game after that, it was almost definitely for the zombies mode.

However this one doesn't have it.

And I still racked up a considerable amount of hours in it since release, here's why.
-------------------------------------
Let's start with the bad:
- unstable - has a tendency to crash, but only every few hours. I rarely had to deal with multiple crashes in a short period of time. Annoying? Yes. Did it turn me off? No. Experience may vary.
- Spec Ops is an absolute dumpsterfire.
- Inconsistent performance between some weapon types and interesting balancing.
- UI for group chats/party play is atrocious and unclear. By proxy, matchmaking with a party is very limited in some game modes.
-------------------------------------
Now for the good:
+ Campaign is passable. It's a good action flick, with some neat references and a decent ending, but has huge pacing issues. However it is one of the most visually stunning campaigns thanks to great setpieces and good atmosphere.
+ Gunplay feels good. The gunsmith system is back and with it they introduced a new platform progression to unlock new weapons and attachments. I think it's great and each weapon having a relatively unique set of camos and challenges to match is a great way to pad playtime in a pleasant way.
~ Sound design is okay - everything sounds amazing, especially the guns, but I feel like the positional audio is nowhere near as good as some standouts in the market like Hunt: Showdown. Every sound has a feedback and impact behind it that helps to elevate the experience just that tiny bit more.
+ in game UX is good. It's Call of Duty - at worst it will feel inoffensive, at best it will feel right at home. It doesn't try to be minimalistic, but it definitely doesn't shower you with pop ups like Cold War did.
~ SBMM - on one hand, I'm a fan of it when playing solo - on another when playing with friends I feel like a third wheel. It works when it works, it doesn't when it doesn't is the only real way to put it. However as an average player I'm happy that it's there.
+ Animations and graphics are top tier - it's kind of what you've grown to expect from a CoD game. There's huge attention to detail when it comes to movement and guns and it feels great to just move and shoot. Everything feels very dynamic.
-------------------------------------

MW2 is definitely an early christmas gift for me, and I've had a ton of fun playing it - as I will have continuing on. Having only jumped back into the series after years and years, it's a pleasant surprise and a lot of fun, definitely can recommend, if you can get past the technical issues.
