Only focus tree worth anything is the UK's, and it's not the best. Most of the focuses are useless or so time consuming to get there that it's like why bother. At best this should be £4, but even then....

Points:

- So yeah UK is really fun going alt, but is it a grind to get anywhere with focuses. Edward coming to power punishes you for not having a cabinet with major political power and stability penalties but doesn't give you much when you get some sort of government back. So getting your political power back up is a ♥♥♥♥♥, and I think the whole event line nukes your stability too much when something bad happens and doesn't restore it enough when something good happens. King's party is by far the most interesting one. Even if they still haven't fixed bugs with the imperial federation and india/pakistan having random civil wars all the time for no reason at the worst possible times for you.

- Focus trees. Again UK has the only decent one. The other countries can be interesting to play, but not because of the focus trees. They are short and pathetic. With the UK even the fascist / absolute monarchy focus lines don't give you the same amount of bonuses as other countries. Going non democratic is a pain, but can be fun. Communist line is generally regarded to be "meh" and you are forced to decolonise within 2 years regardless, locking you out of the OP imperial federation. Fascists if done right can be broken and fun, but you shoot yourself in the foot with saving like 1000 pp in the first year to keep colonies, or loose them and face similar India bugs. If you go alternative, you will have to focus on getting rid of debuffs and other important focuses, that the research focuses take so long to grind and are mostly useless when you get to them. There's a whole load of crappy fortification focuses for key locations that I have never needed to waste time on as they are easy to defend anyway. The whole UK tree is about deciding what leg to focus on healing and forget about fixing the other for so long that it isn't worth it.

- The other focus trees aren't worth mentioning, You can get a portrait mod and make your Australian "Emu Empire" be run by a childrens entertainer with an Emu puppet, so that's noteworthy I guess....

- The autonomy system is neat, and I like the concept, but in practice it is either an absolute grind if you want to annex / integrate them, a a pain to release if you are going communist UK, or something you don't worry about your subject's autonomy level and as long as you are getting troops or land you don't have to protect in a war, then you forget about them.

- Spearhead battleplan is such a scummy thing to include in paid dlc. I barely use it anyway, and even when I do it rarely does what it is meant to do. I want to spearhead attack to push to a port, and even when the predicted path looks good your troops will often attack the wider area like a regular offensive line. Even if you want them to just focus on one flank, it still doesn't execute very well, so is mostly pointless.

- Land battle logs, invaluable to the seasoned and educated player. This is very much a statistics, mathematical calculations and logistical game. I enjoy this feature. Some people would say this shouldn't be part of a paid update, and others would say at least they are supporting and still adding to the game. I am just going to let them have this one.

Conclusion: Definitely some good ♥♥♥♥ in this, but at the same time not all it's cracked up to be. Paid for DLC, yes. This price, no.
