Dark and Darker is a special game for me. It's the first game in many years that reignited my love for gaming that I thought I had lost. That feeling you had as a kid when you'd get to play a new game, that's what Dark and Darker has been for me since Playtest #4. Yes, the feeling is nowhere near as big as it was way-back-then, but even now with changes I agree and disagree with I still have plenty fun with the game.

If you have a friend of a couple of friends looking for a fun passtime, then give Dark and Darker a try. You're not gonna be disappointed! .. But I cannot guarantee you won't bang your head against the wall either in frustration sometimes.

It's a game with lots and lots of potential, and I cannot wait to see where the game is gonna be in the coming months and years.

Personally feel like the game is but a shell of it's former self. The game has gone in a direction I personally and every single one of my friends that played don't like.

From a loot extraction game with developers passionate about crafting a world that was supposed to feel alive and promote adventure.. To a game about spending 5-10 minutes every time you die buying new gear on a marketplace giving you psudo creative mode.

Players loot very little and simply rush down the static spawnpoints on the maps to kill others for their items to re-sell for gold.

The day Ironmace decides to introduce a Self found gamemode I will recommend the game again, but until then I personally do not think It's very fun after but a handful of matches.

Ironmace decided to try out disabling the marketplace for the first 2 weeks of wipe. This means we're finally gonna be able to try a proper self found gamemode and with that I will now recommend the game again. (Temporarily)

SSF was removed, game turned into min/maxing sweat again. Ironmace also removed fog of war after adding random dungeons completely killing the whole point of having random dungeons.
