Everything about this game screams that it should be a high quality fun adult rpg, and yet the controls and shoddy animation drag it down to subpar at best. Dancing Reaper has been a plague on my sexual curiosity for years. I followed it's development and played it on release. Was met with extreme difficulty and frankly I had no patience. I finally decided I would go balls to the wall and had a full play through. Was it worth it? Absolutely not in terms of fun, in terms of self accomplishment it gave me vague satisfaction.

The adult content is mostly based on the dreaded "unlock on defeat" mechanic that has been widely regarded across the genre as universally hated. To have to lose and start from scratch on repeat to enjoy the main reason for playing is tedious and frustrating. The controls for this game certainly don't make it easy to succeed regardless though. The fighting is based on input of the direction you're moving when you press certain buttons. Issue being that the controller sensitivity is so high even slightly moving to the side while holding down will do a side attack. Often not doing the move you intend to will get you killed. All monsters do extreme damage.

For your own sanity I do not recommend this game, if you require tests of mental fortitude to achieve sexual satisfactions though then be my guest.

The most immersive monster hunter to date, the sheer amount of detail put into this game is ten fold that of any other currently in existence. For the first time ever the characters actually matter. Writing was actually done so the npcs weren't an annoyance or at worst a hindrance. Having a voice acted main character is a very welcome change to the silent protagonist. The fighting is so smooth, as a hammer main I can't even begin to describe what landing my first big bang felt like. The sound design is off the charts good, the mounts are the most fluid they've ever been.

I haven't experienced a single bug that's been reported so far. Not one crash or lost frame. I can't say whether that's luck based or just system based, but I do feel as though its being greatly exaggerated. Is it worth review bombing the best monster hunter on the market? probably not. Will this hurt the game in the long run? dear god I hope not, cause if the games go back to being on console or portable only, we'll look back on this very sadly.

A journey that's been haunting me since beating the game. In the moment I felt as though I was happy, having played non stop since picking it up, it was a full 34 hour journey. Leaving no stone unturned I truly saw all the islands had to offer. Now that weeks have passed though I feel myself being pulled back. It's been an incredibly long time since I played a game as unique as dread delusion. It's completely original. From characters, to world design, to dialogue and customs of towns you encounter. You just don't find completely original games any more.

It does have a few cons. One being that the combat is practically child's play. Enemies are slow and easy to read and do very little damage over all. Now if you want a real challenge the harder difficulty makes enemies pack a punch and drop almost no items. Money will actually be a serious factor and it'll be painful spending a single coin for healing. Though you will find a challenge then. In my personal opinion hearing the same soundtracks on repeat can also get annoying. You'll spend tens of hours in the same places and its one soundtrack per area essentially. It loses its haunting atmosphere and becomes nauseatingly gritting fast.

Those few bad parts are a small cost to pay for a look into a world so far from our own. The floating Oneric Isle's will have you hooked the moment you lay eyes on the acid fantasy landscape. Will you be an inquisitor and serve out your sentence in redeeming your past? Or will you forsake free will and give the land back to the gods? Many more world changing choices are yours to be made.

Hollow Body is an interesting concept. You can see where it takes its inspirations from very plainly. Resident Evil fixed camera angles for effect, monster design and atmosphere straight out of Silent Hill, somewhat even gives off Cry of Fear with how the character feels as though they're being pulled towards a destined doom. For all of these great influences I was left feeling as though the game could have been a lot better. It was incredibly short, never really showed how futuristic society is outside of the ruins of the abandoned city. That contrast would have really added to how deep in the ♥♥♥♥ our protagonist has put themselves. You don't get any real information on what caused the infection or how much the shady real estate company that set off the chain of events really was involved. It really left me feeling like I was in the dark far more than I should've been. The combat is incredibly clunky, but you can tell that it's intentional. It can be hair pulling annoying with how unpredictable the enemies movements are. Despite all of these cons I will say that I love seeing this genre of horror making a resurgence. Crow Country was another game that came out recently just like this and it was the most memorable game I've played in a long time. I hope more games like this come out and only improve as time goes on. Don't skip this one.

Early Access Review
It's an overall good game and the loot haul is addictive but it suffers from some of the most unbalanced classes in any game I've ever seen. Warlocks ruin this game, the entirety of the class is run around with no gear on for maximum move speed then spam spells from a distance. The damage is insane and you will never ever catch them, even as a max speed rogue. From my understanding the balance issues have always been a thing and not once in two years have they ever got a handle on it. If I could I would post a review somewhere between yes and no considering that I'll keep playing, but I would honestly advise new players stay away and force the devs hands with a cut in pay. They need to sit down and take a long hard look at the game and make changes worth patching in.

Guts I don't know if I'm strong enough to turn down my white haired femboy god boyfu. I have to find out if the ring truly does have otherworldly grip.

I can't tell you how bad the adult industry needs a good brothel management game. You would assume this is an easy thing to do as management sims are typically low maintenance but not a single brothel sim gets it right ever. This game has some serious ui issues with having to hop through so many menus. The ability to collect food and other materials purely rests on you getting workers that you should have in the brothel out in the field. The game doesn't explain that to you and it can easily ruin a run when all your workers leave because you couldn't feed them. You have to turn off the cleaning system. The game is unplayable having to manage moral based around mess because it builds up so fast. The most annoying part is that the workers need to be told to do everything in real time. You have to click the character, then the customer, then the room, then they finish and you have to click the girl again, then click the exit. You have to do this every single time for every single girl. It's absolutely unbearable. Could have made this so simple, could've just made it so you assign a girl to a room and customers automatically go to the girl that is available. Could've made the difficulty be based around the dialogue events elsewhere in the game and having to piece out where to find new kinds of monster girls that could satisfy customers specific desires. I pray for the day a simple yet quality brothel sim comes out. This is not it sadly, which is a huge bummer because the art is cute. Skip it.

In recent years quite a few good adaptations of regular games as adult games have been made. This is an attempt at making loop hero into a hentai game. It follows the combat and map mechanics exactly the same but has no tile placement involved. Having 100% loop hero I had to give it a shot. First off, it is very very bare bones. The only interesting part of the combat in my opinion is collecting gear that makes up sets that allow for special attributes. The glaring issue with this is that hovering over an icon for a set tells you absolutely nothing. Only when you've put on a full matching set will it allow you to see what it does. This makes mixing and matching a hassle no matter how far you are in the game. Simply bad ui. The adult part of the game is very mixed bag, the pixel art is very very lackluster. An important part of any games art is how the character you're playing as holds consistency in how they look across all scenes. In some she looks alright, in others she looks downright ugly. The main menu art work is a travesty. It looks like a drawing someone in elementary school made to hang on a fridge. If this game had a price point of 5.99 or lower I would give it a passing score with the same criticisms as a time waster with wank material. For 15.49 the mistakes are just to noticeable. I would personally say skip this one.

Early Access Review
As it stands this is abandoned. It has been 2 years since the last update and the game is pretty barren. Currently there is two characters to play as and a handful of scenes and positions for multiple enemy types. You can feel how unfinished the game is just by looking at it before you ever get your hands on the controls. It's a shame, the inspiration clearly came from The Binding of Isaac with a top down roguelike. It could have been something very unique in the adult game genre.

What an incredible journey this was. I can safely say 192 hours in and two separate playthrough's, that I have 100 percent beaten the game. Was it worth it? absolutely. The characters are unforgettable, the gameplay is addicting and extremely customizable each separate run, and the music will pull you in by your heart strings. What can I even say that hasn't already been said about this masterpiece? Maybe that I can only dream that the sequel will be even better by the time of its full release. See you all by the river styx some time again soon!
