Harlan Ellison was anything but nice. He was a rude and extremely petty man. But he wrote some of the best short stories ever made, right along H.P. Lovecraft in levels of otherworldly dread. This game is an extension of the famous short story. It's an alternate take on how AM would test his unwilling captives. Before you ever play this go back and read I have no mouth and I must scream. It will make you feel things most horror can only wish to accomplish.

To sum it up without spoiling a single thing, this is a post apocalyptic point and click puzzle game with deep cryptic answers. Harlan wanted this game to have a good ending but make it impossible to actually get originally. He wanted it to be able to be found years later in the game but not actually let anyone get it. That being said the dev's of course shot it down, but they did make it unbelievably hard to get the best ending in hopes of seeing his vision through. Do a blind playthrough, then come back with a guide a second time to get the complete story.

The best part though. The cherry on top of this master crafted sci fi horror, is that we get Harlan voicing our villain. No one could have done AM better and no one ever will again.

I have been following this game since its first playable beta. I had really high hopes this would fill the void of its previous game that was cancelled. I appreciated that instead of being a simple management game like its previous form that it was trying to become a much more complex game. The Art is crisp and you can feel the passion in every single pixel that makes up the game. Yet for glaring reasons I can't recommend this game.

First off we all know why people want to play this game, the adult content is the backbone of any nsfw game. In a recent update the adult content was locked behind the story whereas before you were allowed to choose how you wanted to pace yourself. From day 2 forward you could run the farm without needing to go out and do the first dungeon. Depending on how good you are at turn based rpg combat you might be waiting at least an hour and a half before you see a single piece of "content".

The Content itself is great in regards to the animations involving your actual player. Some of the best if not the best pixel animated adult content on steam. When it comes to the chibi style animated scenes for every monster pair you'll find a lot of recycled sprites. I fully understand how ridiculous it would be to ask the creators to make every single animation as amazing as the main character ones, but when the sprites are as low pixel as the monster on monster ones it really does sting that each one isn't unique.

The new feature of needing to feed the monsters every single day becomes an insane hassle as your flock grows. originally feeding was optional and it was to increase stats. You still can feed them personally for a stat increase but the reason it was better as an option was the fact you could use your extra crops for experimenting with the massive cook book. The food you make by combining things is much much more worthwhile for stat increases but I find my stocks being quickly devoured every passing day.

I genuinely can't recommend this game in its current state.
