By far (Indian DLC) the highest quality DLC AOE2 has produced. 11 consecutive, beautifully told campaign chapters that guide you through the rise of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and another 6 campaign chapters set on the scene of Hussite revolution. Yet the Poles campaign alone is worth the fee required to purchase this DLC. 10/10

谁TM写的这个J八剧本，对得起浅井长政的头盖骨么？真想把这个茶茶一刀劈了3.24说句实话，游戏《真田丸》比电视剧《真田丸》更像一部大河剧该有的剧本。本作的主人公不单纯是“真田xx“而是真田一族。不仅作为主人公的真田昌幸刻画非常成功，诸如佐助，女忍者，高梨内记，堀田作兵卫这些家臣也十分生动。没有其他无双系列的作品能够给大众脸这么多细节，而且不仅仅是真田家的家臣们，许多诸如夏目吉信，本多忠真，中根正照，青木贞治这样的名字也能在本作中给人留下深刻印象。 更别提上杉景胜，直江兼续这两个给真田家带来莫大帮助的人物。很可惜当主视角全部放在信浓时，京都的丰臣家刻画就显得力不从心了很多。从而有了”茶茶“这个莫名其妙的丰臣家代言人。茶茶与秀吉的关系没有写出，与秀赖的关系也没有写出，与藤堂高虎等浅井旧臣的关系也只是一笔带过。大坂城其他诸如毛利胜永，大野治长，后藤又兵卫等人的塑造也是完全没有。但这种变态的茶茶，在战国无双的宇宙中又显得十分合理，所以我也难以评价茶茶的塑造算是成功还是失败。无论如何，这是唯一一部我时不时会拿出来回味的《无双》系列，对于对日本战国感兴趣的玩家而言，这是一部堪比大河剧的作品。绝对值得购买。

Easily the best SW so far.

Clearly if you play Samurai Warriors, you don't give two ♥♥♥♥♥ about history / you know enough historical context to enjoy the game. Well SW5 gives you two ways of satisfaction, you can both slash and cut a bunch of random creeps, and enjoy the KOEI rewritten-history.

Choosing both perspectives of Nobunaga and Mitsuhide is a brilliant approach to the final chapter of Sengoku period (and the beginning of Azuchi-Momoyama period). As every SW player knows, SW story is the furthest thing from real history. However, SW5 presents a very carefully attuned historical precision in terms of characters. It's worthwhile digging in Akechi Mitsuhide's legends outside the game, if you are interested. Aside from the two protagonists, Shikanosuke and mitsuki are both notably successfully written characters.

AND finally, the artwork, finally I'm not playing Japanese themed Dynasty Warriors. No more Zhou Yu as Mitsuhide and Cao Cao as Nobunaga. Ieyasu is no longer Xiahou Yuan and Kenshin is done being Xu Huang. Finally some quality and original character design.

(I never liked citadel mode so I just skipped the resource grind. It feels like a forced move to prolong game time. Without citadel mode, the game took me 30 hours to complete every single battle under normal difficulty)
