Early Access Review
A very nice game with great potential and unique worldview, while post-apocalypse combined with feudal Europe but in old-fashioned Japanese custom. There are 3 main factions and 4 races in this world. All of these races are original except human though(I mean they're not elves or orcs etc.) XD
Kenshi is lack of graphics probably because the limitation of Havok engine, but it gives me an unordinary experience about its realistic injuries of different body parts, also with the realization of how negligible and fragile you are.If you want to be stronger, training with dummies is far from enough.Every time you got fainted in the battle, the wound will teach you a good lesson.I believe Kenshi expressed this point very well.
There are also some impressive characters in the game such as Doctor Cheung and Hamut in the swamp, Luka in Shek Kindom, Ells in United Cities and Beep in Mongrel .They have their own dialogues and background stories, they'll give their own comments to various destinations, which is similar to The Elder Scroll and Fallout series in my opinion.
Then we should talk about disadvantages. You know it's a common problem for low-budget games that the optimization became a big drawback. And many players complained about the complicated UI design, but it's not a bit problem if you like CDDA, Elona or Dwarf Fortress.Kenshi is a much easier game so you can enjoy it without difficulties :3
