I have a 3080 and a 7800x3d, playing in 1440p.
I have a constant 50fps in camp and it's a toss up in the other areas (yes, I have the newest drivers). This game is fun and I know it, but it runs like unfiltered pond water mixed in with fukushima daiichi left overs. I'll give it another shot if they ever fix it.

Performance is actually worse than Dragon's dogma 2, which I tolerated on release.

I put off playing this game for years because the fandom is absolutely unbearable and I thought it'd end up being overhyped garbage. Ended up being a fantastic experience, highly recommended.

Favorite Ys game so far, having played them in order. Combat is really fun, the story is entertaining, bosses are really nice. Doesn't really require any grinding to get through it.

DLC is hard but you'll get there you absolute mad lad, I believe in you.
Sound design is great as always, music also slaps.
New weapons are fun, still many builds to try.
The one negative thing I can say about a boss or two in this DLC:
Bosses that jump you as SOON as you cross the gate and start fairly close are.. annoying.
Other than that, very solid DLC.

I had mixed feelings during my playthrough. The story is really good and I like what they did to the characters, the random interactions during exploration is also a nice touch. The base game is a very bare-bone action RPG though, but there's an insane evolution of the formula with the Yuffie DLC, which is HIGHLY enjoyable and 100% worth it.

The game has one giant downside for me, some people might like this or not mind it as much but I can't stand it:
Forced walking sections. The game would be like 2 damn hours shorter if they removed them. Game, I can run around even if characters are talking, you're slowing the gameplay to a crawl and it's incredibly frustrating and takes me right out of the experience.
There's a good amount of challenge to be found in the game as well if you decide to tackle the optional bosses and I appreciated that. Also, can we make sure that Cloud's attack recovery during exploration (to break crates,etc) doesn't take like 3 seconds per swing? Hell, you spread out the boxes on purpose you damn villains.

I was recommended this series and was absolutely blown away by the first trails in the sky entry. The world building and characters are fantastic and the game is pretty low on what I like to call the "Usual anime ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥" scale. Highly recommended for jrpg fans. Being able to customize your party to your liking with the Quartz system is such a good system, I love it. The dynamic between Joshua and Estelle is really good, their story is also fairly well written. The one downside I could see is if you had to play this game without the overworld and battle speed boost, it would feel rather slow BUT THAT'S NOT AN ISSUE FOR THE PC VERSION BAYBEEEEEE.

Do not buy in current state. If they ever add content in a year or so, then it might be worth it.

Would recommend, short, sweet, to the point. Sergio simulator.

6 or 7 out of 10. Gameplay loop is good but becomes repetitive after a while. The last boss fight (to avoid spoilers) is the worst boss I've ever faced. Plot feels padded at times and the ending I got wasn't satisfying AT ALL.

Voice actors, for the most part, do a darn good job. The city design and the environments are nice to traverse. Fun with friends. Grab on sale.
