I have always been amazed by some of the crazy game shows on TV – particularly those of the Japanese variety. It would seem that some people will do almost anything for a prize. Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is a game-show style of multiplayer game that has players controlling jellybean-like characters with arms and short legs – the titular Fall Guys - and guiding them through a series mini-games akin to courses in the TV show Wipeout, or for those older gamers amongst us, It’s a Knockout. Each competition begins with sixty competitors (all online) and during the course of the five rounds, players are gradually eliminated until one is crowned the champion. The colourful mini-games (there are 24 in all at this current stage) take the form of three different styles – Race, Survival and Team events.

The first mini-game is generally a Race event, requiring players to reach the end of the obstacle course before other competitors. The obstacle courses are quite varied, with Gate Crash having a series of doors that slide up and down, requiring some timing of your run to get through. Dizzy Heights has players jumping from one spinning platform to the next until they reach the finish line, whilst Hit Parade has players balancing on beams, moving through spinning doors, dodging giant swinging balls and then navigating a slime covered incline.

Survival mini-games are a heap of fun, and basically require gamers to not fall off platforms. Roll Out has competitors travelling along a giant cylindrical beam that has five sections spinning at various speeds, each with a range of hazards. Walls, gaps in the sections, and upright poles can cause you to fall off and be eliminated. Block party on the other hand, has players navigating through gaps in a set of walls and over jumps whilst on a reasonably narrow platform. Miss a jump, or get pushed too far by a wall, and you’ll be falling into the pink goo below. One survival mini-game is somewhat different to the rest though – Perfect Match. In it, players stand on a 4x4 tile set, each with a depiction of various fruit that become hidden moments before a picture of a fruit is flashed on a screen. Players must then scramble to the tile that had that fruit depicted underneath, in a game of memory.

The team events are interesting. Games include Egg Scramble, which has gamers collecting eggs for their team, Fall Ball that has players trying to score goals with a giant soccer ball akin to Rocket League, and Team Tail Tag, which has players running around trying to grab a tail off other competitors and be left standing with one as the time runs down. If you have a team that knows what they’re doing (and working as a team), you’re more than likely going to qualify. But the result can often be hard to swallow if you’ve been randomly selected in a poor team and are eliminated despite your best efforts.

After years of waiting and postponing all the time, OutDrive is finally here, not without some sacrifices from the developers of CD Projekt Red, it must be admitted. With a powerful and smoothly conducted marketing campaign, we were entitled to wonder if the result was up to our expectations, necessarily colossal. It's been a long week since we received the game, the adventure is over on our side, and we can now certify it to you: OutDrive is a real good game, which has managed to transport us into a captivating universe. Despite everything, the CD title Projekt Red constantly blows hot and cold. Yes, the game is steeped in qualities, Night City is an incredibly attractive destination, which gives off a unique atmosphere (thanks in particular to its different districts which have their own personality, and its neon lighting of the most beautiful effect). The main campaign is also one of the main strengths of the game, Keanu Reeves does not appear in it, and the possibilities offered by the multiple-choice dialogue system are really interesting, while providing an undeniable replay-value. On title. Still, one cannot shy away from the feeling that OutDrive was too ambitious a project for CD Projekt Red. The title is full of various and varied bugs, and to cite them all would amount to making a real Prévert-style inventory. Worse, the performance of the game is very disappointing, and despite our high-end PC equipped with an RTX 3080, we had to deal with a very uneven framerate, able to stabilize at 70fps, but also to drop below 10fps for long moments. For the first time in a test, we got a 54GB patch (the game weighs 64), while Nvidia gave us access to the optimized drivers in advance. Unfortunately, it would be a lie to tell you that these last minute fixes managed to clear up these technical issues. We now understand better the multiple postponements, and in real life, the game still needs a good 6 months of additional development to clean up all the problems it is facing.

As it stands,OutDrive reminds us of The Witcher 3 when it was released, with performance issues as well. This finding is all the more annoying as certain aspects of the game are clearly too elaborate given their use (the editor of a character that we only see too rarely, the car fight that is never used). If we add to all this the many promises that have not really been kept (wallrun deleted, cyber increases added via a simple menu, multi-step mode before 2022), we cannot get rid of this impression of having had right to early access to an extremely promising title. OutDrive remains a great game and we can only recommend it, but be aware that it is far from being completely refined.

Тут все действительно необычно и непривычно. Нет карты, нет подсказок, нет мультиплеера как такового, но! Во время путешествия вы можете встретиться с другим игроком и вместе с ним двинуть к той самой горе.

When it comes down to it, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive may follow the same old formula of gameplay seen in previous versions of Counter-Strike, but it's still a well-rounded tactical shooter. It may not try anything drastically different or revolutionize the series by taking it in a new direction, but there's still enough there to appeal to newbies and hardcore fans alike.
