Heroes V, also referred to as the last Heroes of Might and Magic game, is a surprisingly great game considering its age and especially its publisher. Of course, very reasonable points were made as to why the game might not be perfectly balanced and the AI is bad, but it does not make it unplayable. I would say most factions if not all are perfectly playable if you know what you're doing for at least 20% of the time. If this bothers you, good news, you can find Heroes 5.5, which drastically rewrites the AI and balances the game to your liking. This game hits real close to home, its many people's childhood and I'm no different. Nowadays it might be hard to find a multiplayer lobby since Ubisoft doesn't maintain anything, but this game packs a hell of a ride with the right people. It's the last good game the franchise has had and I think it absolutely does justice to the source material. If I had to rate it, I would give it 8 kittens, 5 half eaten cashew nuts and a horny catgirl / 10 (pro tip: the more people play, the more dopamine your brain produces)
