Long time Runescape player trying this out, Took a little bit of time to get used to the game play but so far it has been a refreshing spin on the MMO genre for me!

Having a blast being a noob again!

I recommend giving it a shot & give the game a good few hours to grow on you !

this is a rpg not a mmogs take your time enjoy dont rush like its a multi player god simulator you will get lost and stomped use brighter shores wiki for help still to new for most quest guides to be out yet

This is a Great game with a lot of potential. This game is not runescape and is clearly a new form of game that I could see growing rapidly.

Let us start off, the music is excellent. We feel like our ears have been massaged by the pirate gods themselves. Seriously guys, trust us on this, it's 10/10.

Now let's dive deeper into our cake of gaming, the graphics. Albeit the graphics are simple, they are surprisingly charming and inviting. It made for a comforting environment. 7/10.

Now, here is the BIG FAT ISSUE, I wanna preface this as a pair of highly decorated gamers (with countless accolades in the gaming industry and collectively holding a total of 15 lbs of raw gold in metal weight). This game is HARD. The tutorial ALONE took us over an hour to complete. The story was hard to follow, we think it needs high caliber voice actors such as Jack Black to do funny pirate impressions.

We think with the right direction and appropriate changes, this game could bring gamers, and gaming itself, to another level.

Overall this game is a 5.2/10

P.S. if you are a Runescape fan, try this game out :)

It's different than I was expecting, but that's a really good thing. There's obviously a lot of Runescape elements, but it feels like it's its own game, instead of being a spiritual successor or "sequel." I've been really enjoying my time with it so far.

Plus, can't beat $6 a month. Reminds me of the good ol' days

I wanted to like this game. I thought it would be a cool alternative to other grindy games I've been playing. I got to a total level of 209, min 20 in all f2p skills, got the skill behind 32 carpentry. At that point it seemed like i had seen all the game had to show.

My issues:
- The skilling nodes respawn too slow, if I'm actively trying to do an activity having to wait an extra 20 seconds after finishing a loop of all the nearby nodes feels just bad. I'm left there wondering how many more laps I'll need to do instead of doing them.

- Combat nodes needs tuning. sure this is probably more an issue with the game being newer, but frequently you find the combat areas are overly crowded with an instance capping at a 1:1 player to creature ratio. I would suggest switching this to a client based system like everything else in the game, and reduce the nodes to 2/3 current to lessen screen clutter while maintaining the appearance of populated areas.

- Let me navigate one or two more tiles when navigating through the map, some of the map tiles are tiny and are completely covered with the list of its nodes.

- Add a general bank, somewhere items that can only be sold can go. The basic loop for fishing is eels, pufferfish, flounder. Only one can go into a bank. This means if you want to load up on flounder you still need to run to the merchant to unload your inventory instead of using the portable bank stones.

-More combat rant. I don't understand the elemental part of combat. is the % a chance to imbue the attack with that element? why are enemies completely immune to some elements rather than just reducing the hit damage. You spend hours trying to get decent gear and move to the next foe and realise you can't hit the thing at all. Also please if I die punish me more than just the punishment of having to walk back. Having navigating the game being a punishment says a lot about the game. Health potions at 20% feel more like 5% since a generic enemy will get around 2 attacks in while you drink in. The only main use for them feels like the boss mobs that a generally cool, but one time fights(as far as ive seen, bear, fishthing).

-with the game so heavily focusing around 24 using a slot for potions feels clunky. I'd be completely fine if i could chug 20 xp pots get a 40min boost, but as is you just lose a little satisfaction of clearing out an area since you want to do things for more than 2 min at a time. also for this 24 issue, people mentioned the menus dont match up. why can i take out 1/10/max, when id want 1/3/6/12/max or maybe 1/4/12/max.

-please let me click the world to close a menu, please let me click the world to do things without other pop-ups, I dont need an info card, if i want an info card ill check the skills page.

-maybe make co-op activites have the player slowly progressing that node, make them default, have player 2 just jump in and help finish the progress.

- the level 2 oak processed product might need its sell price reduced by 10 to be more inline with other items, as is its worth 39.67xp/bronze and the next step up is 5.77xp/bronze with that number only declining


The good:
-the boss battles are neat, having to manage where your player is and when to attack, just works.

- Enemies scaling with the player feel like a constant challenge, its pretty cool.

- Being able to put xp into any skill occasionally is really cool, getting to spend more time just fighting things and leveling other skill while you grind for gear is a good play.


In all I think the game has solvable issues to tweak and make it better, and it might just need a little more time to cook. Also if the game gets more episodes i hope the older ones get given to f2p. having the premium content be like a patreon with early access and cosmetics would be sweet rather than the Runescape route of just permanently gating access.
Anyway back to grinding.

i said to my self "hmm today i want to play card. sun is out, the beer is in the fridge and what i need is cards" and wow i see this game on steam and i think "wow its a card game and i really need card right now" so hmm yep i decied to buy....what i think of the game is very good it has card and it has man that attack the enemy so its very good today and yesterday. i use strike and wooooow it does so much damage i got to second boss and poof he kill me wtf??? i think maybe the enemy boss is hacker but i will get back to hacker issue soon. pve in this game is super and i like it very much its like when i was in somalia a few years back the man on street gave me card to use and said tomorrow u will get good fortune like a storyteller i like a lot. i tried the game again today and this time i only got to boss number 1 just like i did when i woke up three days ago. he killed me very fast because i had no shield to block damage so i learned and thought to myself "ok i see i have low hp but to survive big damage i need defence" so i wrote note on my desktop "vinkællen remember to pick block cards because u can use it for damage if you go warrior class" so i did and wtf i got to boss number 3 on the second day of coming. so sad when i saw the boss tgot only 100 hp left but i had no good cards on hand. ok and now to the pvp. i said earlier hacker and omg the game hve a huuuuuuuuuge hacker problem in the competetive scene. i tried the rogue on the competetive scene last night and wtf i met warrior with 9999 hp and infinite turn??? where is developer??? bad anti cheat in the game so if you are pvp player steer clear of the game and use money for i dont know maybe go buy a couple of shoes or skeleton plushes i dont know. but for pvp if you use hack you can play against hack to make it fair thats my advice as well. now to the sound and graphic it has good sound made in the studio by steven seagull and moonspell so music is good just like in arab world its mysterious and very good for relaxing. graphics it looks like paint if you go to the art museum so i give it a thumbs up since its cheaper and you only need to pay one time so if you like to go to art musteom you pay once and voila! you got yourself a museum in the steam library. now over to the carbon footprint of the review. i am sad to say that since you need the machine powered on and with the use of electrcity you are not green but i have a solution to this: use solar power for machine and maybe coal if you are grilling food while playing the game. i personally use thermo to power my machine with leftover heat from the government and wow now i am green thank you. i am sad to say this game has no guns.. no guns for the texan player in this game so if you want gun in game i recommend cowboy like rdr2. to summarize: yes i recommend this game.

Hackers owning Flying Scoutsman and banning everyone from it for hours at a time
For the past at least two weeks, every morning, noon, and sometimes afternoon, there is a single Flying Scoutsman server operating where one or more hacker plays vs bots he commands. When anyone joins, they immediately start vote kick and this way prevent everyone else from playing. To ensure no more servers are created, they keep open slots on both teams. Today it happened for the 30th+ time, I joined a Shoots game 3vs3 with the rest being bots. Two names were very familiar, as they are usually muted and appear red. One was Bulldog, the other was Anchor, so I am positive it was their doing this time. I didn't have any time to see who the third red name was as I was immediately kicked & banned from the server. I just want to chill and play a bit, and not grind on my own with bots. Please find a way to fix this and prevent server overtaking, as it then lasts for half the day until a normal server appears.

Ban for nothing 2 time! 7-day
This cs 2 is cool, it matches me with people who play together, they report me for no reason, without checking, I get banned for intentional disruption for 7 days. Is there any way to appeal? Hand on heart, I didn't do anything
