Most disappointing game I've ever played. It's essentially taken everything bad about Saints Row the Third and made it into its own title. Boring reptitive 'quests', even story missions just feel like side quests. I kept playing this, hoping I was still just in some sort of tutorial stage, and that these missions would offer something new after some progress, but after 9 hours of gameplay, it's still just repitive missions, they've literally cut and paste missions from the Third into this game. Additionally, the map is the same, the characters are the same, the vehicles are the same, all they've done is add 'superpowers', which quite frankly aren't nearly as fun as they sound, and then called it the fourth title in their series. If you're wanting to buy a Saints Row game, buy the third one, if you've finished it, play it again - you'll still have much more fun than you will in this title.

3.2GB update, that's right, they brought back multiplayer!

Life is Strange is an episodic graphic adventure game, about Max, a shy mysterious girl who likes taking pictures. A normal girl at first, that is until she discovers she has an incredible power.The first episode is set in an American High School. The girl you play as, Max is only really interested in one thing: keeping her head down, and pursuing the success of her photography course. However as soon as she finds she has the ability to affect change in the time and events around her, she decides to take action.

The game plays in a similar way to Telltale's graphic adventure games. You'll be put into conversations and make certain choices that effect how characters react, as well as an impact on the greater narrative. Of course, Max's ability to change time makes quite a big difference in what we would expect from these type of games. In your standard narrative game you make a choice, depending on what you believe to be the leser of two evils, but in this no matter what you choose, there's always a negative outcome for someone, regardless. Allowing you to see one of these options play out, then rewind and choose another doesn't always mean you can choose the better option, just one that will have a different chain of effect.

Snooping and searching plays a big part of this game, you're able to search other's rooms, and go through a lot of their stuff, most of the time this snooping is purely optional and not part of the puzzle solving - but you get a much richer narrative picture when you take the time to hunt down all those little details.

Finding out about all of the characters is very interesting, and deciding which of those characters to help - then considering how the choices you make will effect them, and whether or not to put yourself first. That said, the rewind mechanical as a way to solve puzzles is interesting, however sometimes you'll hit a point where you need to choose a different dialogue option by anticipating what you know the character wants to hear, because you just heard them say that, which isn't particularly challenging, however the rewind system can also remove the stress that would play a good role in some of the scenes. When trying to find a hiding spot in Max's friends bedroom, it creates a tense moment as you struggle to find someone to hide before her stepfather comes in. However due to the rewind feature it means you can constantly rewind, until you find a spot to hide in. The feature in this scene removed the stress, and took from what could have been a really intense scene.

Once you've finished they show the percentages of other player's decisions against yours, this is a nice feature, and can make you contemplate the choices you've made - long after you've chosen them.

The game has a great story, deep and well-fleshed characters and some of the most beautiful cutscenes. Detail has been lovingly put into the environment, and creates a mysterious, and wonderful games. It'll be interesting to see what the other episodes have to offer. This is definitely one of the best games I've ever played.

Terraria is an indie game for PC, console, and mobile devices. It was one of the first game to be inspired by Minecraft. As in Minecraft, you explore a randomly-generated world of blocks. Monsters lurk around every corner, and the only way to get ahead is by crafting more powerful items. You can explore alone or with friends, and in the course of play you'll discover a strange fantasy world of peril and wonder.

This does make for a much simpler game world. But it also serves to streamline a lot of the frustrating aspects of Minecraft. One of the most stressful things about Minecraft is the way that monsters can sneak up on you, as you have a first person veiw. With flat, 2D graphics, you can see all of your enemies out to get you at a glance. One thing I also enjoyed is that items don't wear out. Although I haven't played much Minecraft myself, things wearing out after you've spent hours finding resources to craft them, doesn't sound so fun. You're even given some tools right at the beginning to start off with.

Crafting options appear automatically when you have the necessary resources. When you first start out, there's a NPC standing next you who serves a guide. Talk to him, and he'll give you some basic instructions to get started. They don't expect you to trawl the wiki just to figure out what's going on. You can build houses, and fit them out with chairs, tables, and other accessories. Expanding your home is a big requirement for progression, If you build extra rooms on your house, NPCs will spawn, selling items, and helping you along your journey.

The more you progress, the tougher enemies become. The only way to cope with these ever-increasing threats is by upgrading all your gear, and it's this challenge that makes up most of the game. Your doesn't wear out, but there are so many weapon classes, and there's always just one more upgrade to buy. The world and enemies are amazing, you really do feel compelled to explore. There are so many different treasures and surprises to find.

In Minecraft, and other games similar, you often reach a point where you run out things to do. Terraria fixes that problem by including bigger and bigger enemies, and more and more cool weapons to take them down. I loved how there are so many items and weapon classes, even if some of them are a bit useless. You feel like you're exploring a real place, and figuring out how everything works in this world is part of the charm. I'm not sure if I have the patience to keep burrowing until I'm crafting my own laser guns, however this game will keep you entertained for hours. The game is decently priced, and often goes on sale. With how much you get with this game, such as Steam Trading cards, Steam achievments, (Also the option to save worlds & characters to the Steam Cloud), this game offers many enjoyable hours of single player, co-op and multiplayer, and is definitely deserving a 9/10.

Counter Strike is one of the most important shooters out there, for what it brought to FPS and what it has done for competitive gaming scene. But it has been long overdue for an update since CS:S, which brings us to Counter Strike Global Offensive.

Being accused of hacking is the best compliment a CS player can have. This is a solid update to Counter Strike, they haven't changed too much which was the biggest fear. In fact, it's more of an update of old Counter Strike, as opposed to an update of Source. Firstly, everything is more shiny, and the maps are much more detailed. There's motion blur and AA up the wazzo. The sound design is also masterfully updated so that all the guns sound the same, but a better version of them. The controls don't feel as floaty as old CS, it's all a bit tighter, the models updates look great as well.

While I was happy that there is a heavier focus on chickens now, with a higher density of them, and there are better animations of them. Although the chicken AI is terrible, I saw a couple walk into the flames.

All the menus, quick match and server browser functions work well. The menus and HUD have all had an overhaul too, I like that you can see the icons of who is left in your team up the top and how much health they have. I like that catching someone by surprise isn't a guaranteed kill, they still have time to whip around and fire a few shots off. The new molotov's are also very useful in bottle necks although the effect isn't that pretty, which goes for the grenades as well, it's certainly stressful begin caught in the flames. There's also a taser now, which is useless but hilarious if you get kill.

There's nothing more frustrating than a standoff while everyone else waits, or a dirty AFKer. Along with the standard CS modes, there are also 2 new official ones. Arms race which is a gun game that gives you a new weapon with each kill. The final knife wins the match! I enjoy arms race more than I thought I would Bajo, there's something so stressful when someone is down to the knife, trying to get that final kill to win the game. There's also this rewarding 'bung' sound when you take out an enemy, which also lets you know you have a new gun full of ammo, you can really get a rhythm going. The other official mode is Demolition which is a mish mash of gun game and bomb defusal. One team needs to plant a bomb and every kill progresses your weapon to the next one for the next round.

This is a pretty masterful, updated, it's not as visually amazing as some other shooters, but I'm kind of glad that it's also very much the same game. So I'm giving it 9/10.
