693 Hours played
Having played over 600 hours on the PS4 version of the game, and over 600 login days - the game acts as a magnet to your farming desires (the following is a long read).

At first, the game seems rather tedious - continuously get each junction in order to progress, however - it serves a purpose which is to ensure that you do not stray from the required quests such as the Second Dream and War Within, which are required (play them if you haven't already) to understand the lore and backstory behind the game.

The game's microtransactions are cosmetic only - furthermore the Tennogen system means that users can create their own custom designs of which they will receive a portion of the revenue if players decide to buy said item - this has allowed for players to come up with rather ingenius designs which are often better than what Digital Extremes themselves design.

However, the grind is real - when you think you are close to obtaining an item, the strain starts to become tedious when you do not acquire x last part, prime or otherwise. Things such as raids are however off limits for now - as they are undergoing "changes", don't expect them for another few months.

The game does not do a good job however of stating where to go - which is left up to you. Immediately after getting your first mastery rank, you have the option of going onto the Plains Of Eidolon to take on an eidolon - which is reserved for the very end-game farm, not for new players - there is no directional cue telling you this flaw either. Tutorials are lackluster at best, useless at worst - text screens provide no interaction and do not provide any meaningful value as such you will own delegate to other user's information or searching the wiki.

Despite this however, it is entirely possible to farm your way to thousands of platinum - the ingame premium currency using the relic system, as long as you have the time, and chance of luck on your side - you should be able to gain a decent amount once you begin acquiring prime parts.

The market for the game is a scam - when you come across the menu, it is extremely tempting to purchase a specific gun from the store or a Warframe - do not do this, these are all easily farmable and only serve to sink your platinum - instead spend what you possess on loadout slots, they become extremely useful as you will quickly run out of space for your inventory.

When you see a player who possesses a Tigris Prime or Ember Prime, immediately rule out acquiring said entities - these are both either locked behind the Prime Vault of the game, or behind a Mastery Rank curve so daunting you will feel as if you need to climb up a mountain to get them, which the game would intend for you to do.

Overall however, if you possess the patience, desire, and will to get over the barriers to new players, you will quickly begin to understand the draw which the game possesses, whether you want to build your own weapons, farm Prime Warframes, go mining, fishing, or delve into the game's lore - the game possesses it all and much more.

To finish up, it is quite literally, your own sandbox - do what you wish, at your own pace (aside from taking on the Jordas Verdict of course).
