A17 and the end of the server

Thanks to everyone who stuck around until the very end. As of this morning, 3 days after A17 was released the server died (again). This time the motherboard looks like it's fried. Good timing, I suppose. I had set the server to PvE and only a few players, mostly friends were playing.

If the CPU is still ok I might bring it back long enough to have some fun with PvE. Good luck to all the players who have spent time here, this marks the official end of Zombie West.

Player maps wiped

The server was disgracefully shut down, this was outside my control but it was someone's doing. We got off lucky that only the map was wiped, usually the characters get wiped.

Long story short, the program I use for backups (Paragon) crashes every few days and I haven't been maintaining it for a while now. So there are no backups to restore to.

If you want a wipe vote for it here. There may still be 2 or 3 months before A17.

The anti-cheat function is hard coded into the bot and I can't tweak it. But it helps more than it hurts. You have been unbanned.

So, i was banned for clipping yesterday. Happened when riding the bike. Bike was acting weird and lagging lots. had to leave the game even to get back on it at times. Other times it would disappear within the blocks. Used lost bike command twice. Was trying to make it back to a base. Anyways it was a week ban. Please review noclipping detection

Thanks, that was my intention. Server should be back up at 205.206.82.20 or you should be able to find it in the server list. Let me know if there are any issues, I will be home in a few hours.

heres to hoping it isnt a hard ware failure. I appreciate what it costs to keep something up for people to play on, or the additional costs of internet, power, time, and having hardware tied up when you could be using it for your own purpose. With 17 coming down the pipes and the heads up you have provided everyone. THANK YOU!! it has been a fun server to play on
